I work as a contract employee at one of the large investment banks in New York City. Things have been tense the last couple of days, we fully expected to come into work on Monday and get our walking papers, or at least get the news that we were doing to be transferred to some other company doing some doing auditing or some shit, but we didn’t. The Regional Manager of the branch that we’re at actually called all of the contract employees and many of the new hires into a large conference room this morning and said, “No need to worry about your jobs this week, GME tongues my anus, Jannies kill themselves, but your jobs are fine.” This coming week he expects QQQ and Nasdaq to crush all time highs as Biden fails to do anything and the market continues to spiral upwards like the unregulated wild Wild West. I closed out my positions at the open today. This fucker is going lower, there just isn't long term support at these levels and the fundamentals don't support these. i dont go by delta but my expected return on capital and strike, i try to get 30+% and a strike below the recent tested lows on something that is reliably directional. on condors though .75-.85 delta is pretty good, ive used that on amzn before for 45 day iron condors, but you want the IV percentile to be above 50 so vega is on your side as well

I crumbled and cut my losses while I could. Originally bought a chunk of GME at $300, but I just sold them all at $105.

Don't get me wrong - I'll forever regret it if the stock DOES moon, but I just couldn't help feeling like it was over. The stock was dropping way too low and even if this WAS fucking over billionaires, there's always gonna be some bullshit way for them to cheat the law and come out on top. I absolutely do think it was going to go higher until the stock exchanges just caused 20 halts and fucked the price, and then allowed for ladder attacks and stopped people from buying when the hype was highest.
