What should I be looking for when I'm reviewing a coin? Other than a nice graph? Experienced in the market but not in crypto.

Similar to how stocks have a balance sheet with income, liabilities, etc. & you can consider the intrinsic value of a business. How can I identify the unique value proposition of a specific coin, especially amongst other coins?

just wanted to clarify am NOT a newfag. Had ETH at 170 and BTC at 5K on coinbase and sold because I didn't really understand what I was buying. Now I wish I hadn't, of course.

Using coinbase pro and getting more active now.

Whether anything is happening on their github.
Whether rich people in crypto know about it. E.g. projects around Ethereum gang just have a huge headstart, even if they are just as plain as any other project.
Maybe you can find out if there's a chance that it will be traded on bigger platforms. Fact of the matter is that exchanges charge projects large fees to be listed and so that's a barrier.

Tbh it's mostly a gamble.

my expert analysis indicates LINK has the best memes. GRT close second

Linkies $100 EOY

Noted. Is there a central place besides /biz/ where people get ahead of the curve on new projects? Or any resources you guys personally use. Would have been nice to know about GRT when it initially dropped, for example.

I imagine reddit is just as good as biz. I don't know, I never used leddit, but it can't be worst than here.

I'm more a programmer kind of guy, I try to get into projects that sound cool or innovative and are not javascript - like LINK. Not that that always helps with picking winners..

Reddit is dogshit. All the alpha is on twitter and here, but twitter is like 75% alpha whereas this board is only 25% alpha and the rest is scams or pumps.

You aren't looking hard enough then. I learned about GRT in November before it even released, and it was some of the greatest intellectual conversation I have ever seen on here. Same with loopring and Stakenet.

also a programmer, just new to researching projects besides the very basic ideas behind btc & eth.

>>27423187
already in for 763, planning to keep accumulating. holding GRT/UNI/ETH. might DCA into BTC.

Question for you, I'm holding as my safe bets GRT/LINK/UNI. 40%/40%/20%
I have another bit of cash to inject, which would you recommend me hitting? I'm also considering none and adding REN or SNX.

Not ashamed to ask, what does DCA mean?

>> No.27426255

>>27425951
That's a very solid portfolio. I would consider SNX to be a more safe investment for the long term, so I would go with that. It seems like your portfolio is made for the long-term.

Dollar cost average. Keep buying consistently so that you get a decent entry, but don't try to time the dips.

Dollar cost average. Basically take what you’re going to invest and put it in over a week/month time period in increments to help hedge risk/volatility

>> No.27426364

>>27426053
dollar cost average, basically you buy at a regular interval no matter what the price is; when it's down, you end up with more. when it's up, you end up with less. but you always buy

Yes, that's called smart investing. Just DCA into solid projects and you'll make it just fine. Welcome to the graphtronauts, where we hope for the price to dump so that we can get more cheapies.

Hi guys, I went all in on GRT at 40 cents but I don’t know anything about it

I have 70k GRT

Do you think this has 100x long term upside? I think I might just go all into AMPL instead, the market cap is way lower
