Isn't there a decent chance that Melvin and Co were able to get out of the mess via short ladders that we've been seeing for the past few days and cover their shitty short positions near the low points? I realize there is a lot of short interest still, though who is to say those positions were not opened once the price shot up to 100+? It seems like if hedges and such were in immediate danger they'd be pulling lots of strings instead of what appears to be business as usual. Not trying to spread FUD, I still have a few shares myself but Reddit seems euphoric and like an echo chamber so exploring this possibility wouldn't happen on there.

It's over.
They covered their shorts last Thursday when they pumped the price $500 and shorted all the way down to $150.

In order for them to cover, there would be a ridiculous volume of shares traded on the market, we haven’t seen it, and trust me, people are fucking looking.

Yes, and it's hilarious! People litterally baught 1000's of shares of AMC at $18+ expecting it to go to $100 today, how these retards get so much money I will never know.

A fool is easily parted from his cash in the end.

They’re long since out. They got their asses kicked on the way for sure but this is a pump and dump op now.

How do short ladders work? Are they covering their contracts flip flopping the same stocks and accumulating the numbers they need? Or do they have to buy the retailers stocks sooner or later and they’re just hoping people cash out.

>> No.27391910

they drive the price down to scare normies into selling their shares by just selling to each other back and forth.

>> No.27391986

Anyone with sense was out on Thursday, bought 250 shares of amc on Friday on the cheap and flipped them for a tidy profit today.

Pump and dumps always have the same pattern, love or hate em.

Short ladders are just being bounced around between hedgies. A lot of people think the end game is what you describe, make money from the short ladders while pushing the price down for when they do need to cover eventually (if that hasn't happened already). Entirely possible they just ate the cost of the $100some dollar shares on Thursday and came out beaten but still alive. I'd imagine anybody left is hoping people get bored/demotivated and cash out.

My fellow Americans I, former president Donald J Trump have come here to deliver a message. By now you realize the grave threat we face from the likes of Chyna and the fake Joe Biden administration. First Lady Melenia worked tirelessly with the poor and destitute meanwhile sleepy Joe's wife hands out cookies for our National Guard, and there weren't even enough cookies to go around. It's a sad state of affairs when the fake first lady of our once great country can't even count. The GME and AMC buying is part of the plan to return value to you, the people, the buying of physical silver is also part of that great plan. Work together and buy up all you can and we can win this. I and our great nation thank you.

ngl I fell for the Reddit hype and bought $10,000 worth if GME last week at 300, luckily I sold this morning for a slight profit because of /biz/ redpilling me over the weekend while the redditfags shilled constantly to keep holding.

I get what you are saying but the short ladders are pretty much guaranteed money at this point so why not make the best of the situation they are in? If a squeeze happens it will likely be brief and avoidable to cover during that period.

I have a $31 put for that date with a $25 break even price which was probably a stupid move. Go for one with a $50+ break even. I can see a ton of people still holding in the aftermath for whatever pointless reason.
