Lurk for a while, watch what succeeds, pay attention to what doesn't, try to determine the reasons why with some research.

Don't be an idiot, don't sell in fear, learn patience.

Holding seems like the better choice in the long run for most viable things anyway if something has use and isn’t about to be usurped by something else than it’s always good for long term investments
Tdlr
Hold on to most things until the time is truly right

Just depends on your tolerance for risk. Don't put the majority of your investments in things with high volatility. I'd consider any shitcoin, stocks post GME this week, etc as a bad bet. If the market crashes, fiat is going to be mega fucked, so long standing crypto is a "relatively" safe bet.

Not a PM fag, but also tends to be valuable if we hit SHTF clown world. Something to keep in mind, but you won't make a fortune off of it.

You should buy low and sell high. And hold most of the time. But many faggots here do the opposite. They get afraid and sell at loss whenever it gets a bit bad, they will ngmi. So be patient and have faith in your choices.
Also, lost of coins are shilled, check it out for yourself before investing. Don't invest what you can't lose. And invest enough to make your stack count.

Alright man I'll give you advice.
Most of the threads made on this board are from shillers trying to shill their shit to you.

Your portfolio could look something like this 50% link 40% eth 10% btc. Don't diversify too much it will kill your gains. I myself am 90% in link on a mid 6 figure portfolio.

First figure out what blockchains are, how bitcoin works etc. Then look up Ethereum and what smart contracts are. Chainlinks Sergey Nazarov explains smart contracts and oracles well on the Chainlink Youtube channel. Listen to him.

You will need a lot of patience and emotional maturity to make it. You can't go sell every time some world event decides to wipe out 50% of your portfolio value. It would be best to pick your winning coins and forget about them.

Good luck.

Welcome /pol/ack, I myself came here a few years ago from /pol/, not only will this board make you rich, it's also better for your mental health than /pol/.

Here are my tips:
>Never fomo in at the top
>Don't panic sell when the price falls, if it's not a total shitcoin the price will go up again eventually
>Only realized losses are losses
>One of the most important aspects is the market cycle. Buy when it's low, sell when it's high, always keep an eye on it
>Always DYOR, at least get a feel for the coin
>Keep an eye on the taxes, every country has different laws. Here for example I have to pay a commie tax of 40% on realized crypto gains unless I hold for more than a year. Make the most out of your investment according to your laws
>double and triple backup all your passwords, keys, mnemonic phrases
>don't tell anyone about your gains
>solid exchanges to start are binance (if you're not a burger) and uniswap (high fees, but access to gems)
>the more you're diversified the more you're dependant on the entire market. That can mean security (whatever that means in crypto) but also diminished returns
>For an investment of like 10k I'd suggest going into ~3 coins

godspeed
