What’s up pmg, I did some lurking in WSB to gauge sentiment for this silver squeeze. There are many advocates for silver but the current general state of the sub is that anything that is not GME is a distraction by the bankers. In fact, some were saying that people who are shilling silver are Citadel’s and JPM’s shills only to distract people from buying GME. Like holy fuck the amount of stupidity. Yes...buying physical silver is what the banksters want you to buy, you sure got it right Reddit. Other common misunderstandings were that silver market cap is over a trillion dollars which is absolutely false. The real market cap of yearly production is less than 30 billion. Finally many thought that silver can’t ever ”moon” because if the price increases miners just ramp up production. This again is practically impossible because silver is mostly a byproduct in mining and there are very few silver mines in the world which could do this ”ramping up”. Also there are very little stockpiles of silver. This is what gives silver the potential to go absolutely ham if demand spikes because the supply can’t increase. It will increase with a long delay of many years as more mines are developed but it does not happen in time to shut down price increases. On the positive side people are starting to understand the difference between SLV and actual silver and many very advocating for physical bullion. This thing is really happening and currently even with most of WSB opposing. When GME eventually falls the focus will turn to silver. Right now we are still frontrunning the reddit crowd because they are so preoccupied with GME.

Yeah the timing between all eyes on GME and Silver was unfortunate, and did lead to some weird pro-hedge conspiracy theories.

I think a part of this silver rush is caused by GME exposing how "manipulative" certain assets can be. And people need as much fuel to pump GME to the sky as they can so it makes sense they are apprehensive. But if the attention from GME eventually lands on silver then we could looking at a stable $50+ per ounce climb, possibly much more once macro forces do some research and position themselves.

In truth the panic will die down, but this may lead to new "regulations" on buying silver with silver taxes similar to Europe and registering all precious metals.
