my take?
First off consider that the big players make much more diverse moves than some anime forum or reddit, and faster too. I believe they are currently incurring a PnD for silver, as this scheme will catch the elites when they fall from GME. You'll get dumped on, and it's being shilled everywhere because they are paying grifters to distract you from where the real money is, being GME and AMC.
Note: AMC paid off 100% of their debt, but is still >80% shorted, AMC is next to moon but not like GME.

either
1. the elites want to crash it for great reset. in this case buying silver would still give you advantage in the new world compared to now worthless dollars
2. there is a fight between different factions and one is trying to crash the current powers. this does not necessarily mean this other faction is interested in making a particularly nice world for us but I would argue it couldnt possibly be worse. if china or russia wants to crash the US then i hope they succeed. in this scenario buying silver would be the right move to destroy tptb and advantage you in post crash UNLESS you prefer current powers to alternative ones
