Old timer stacker here-
Just to let you New stackers know, coin dealers and local coin shops are in business to make money too. If they feel prices are going to go up, they will withhold inventory for sale to sell later at a higher price. This is normal and to be expected. They will also have to replace their inventory at higher prices. They might not be sold out in reality but waiting to sell later. Don’t be pissed and disillusioned when you see this. It will pass. Think about this scene carefully. They don't actually explain anything about how much money Harry has, or what that pile of coins is worth. They just show a pile of gleaming coinage and the audience instinctively knows that it's a massive amount of money. They never say if it's made of gold or what the exchange rate is for a coin to a house or any other metric (at least not in this scene). Almost like people are hardwired to understand the immense value of gold.

I just got a 5oz Silvertowne bar for 155$.
Not bad but paying with Cash Back CC that gives me 3% it comes out to 151.

that works out to 30.20 per oz. 3$ over spot. Little more than 10% premium.

Best deal of the day sold out already, Monarch 10oz bar for 296$.

Be sure to check it tomorrow. At times they restock or sell stock that had declined funds, rejected CC etc.. Dealers are running out of stock..

Google 'Executive Order 6102', they confiscated everyone's gold (and silver in another executive order a bit later) back in the 30's.

Somehow everybody just sorta...went along with it at the time, but I suspect that overall trust in the government is a fair bit lower this century, so between the increased risk of federal agents getting shot combined with the fact that there's a lot less gold/silver owned by the population this time around, I suspect it's not going to happen again.

And if it does, I'm sorry to hear about that boating accident you were in.

$SLV calls $27 and $31.5 for 2/12 (bought at .09 and .02)

the play was that everyone believed it was in the countries best interest to do so. Whole towns were dieing out, industry was dead and many saw the government going for the gold to try and save the country from financial destitution. Others were smarter, and stashed their gold anywhere but banks as distrust in them was still wide spread even into the 1940s thanks to what often happened in the 1860s to 1900s where private banks could just vanish over night.

I sell excavators to these miners in Latin America..

they pull out between 2-3kg per day, but also they run 20 excavators, 50 dump trucks, 4 wheel loaders, 3 D7G dozers, 50 8 inch pumps. They go thru 24000 liters per day, about 6000 gallons of diesel. 200+ employees

Might I ask what brand is that trommel or is it homemade? I want something like that so I when I visit them I can set it up and rewash their tailings. I get lucky now and then panning and pull 1-2 gm nuggets that blow thru their plant

I am convinced that the issue with enclosed spaces isn't actually "keeping moisture in", what's actually happening is if you trap warm air in an airtight space and then the ambient temperature drops, the capacity of the air to hold water vapor drops and the *relative* humidity goes up.

So yeah, seal them up airtight and add silica gel and you'll be good.

>Somehow everybody just sorta...went along with it at the time, but I suspect that overall trust in the government is a fair bit lower this century, so between the increased risk of federal agents getting shot combined with the fact that there's a lot less gold/silver owned by the population this time around, I suspect it's not going to happen again.

would you buy water from a whale too? Fuck you newfags at this are exhausting. There is something called google and youtube that over-exhausts the concept of how silver can be preserved, why you would preserve it, the difference between numismatics, why you would want junk silver over bullion, etc etc etc. Holy fuck these threads are going so fast because someone wants to know if their overpriced as fuck purchase is somehow "good" even though most of us who have been here for years are just saying "good" because you finally have some, nevermind the idea that months ago, most LCS had a fuck ton of everything for low and now everyone is panic buying and asking what form of fucking vasaline is good for their bullshit generic rounds and what junk silver is good. Mining laws are pretty stupid everywhere you go..

Lots of Colombians and Peruvians here.
So apparently Colombia passed a law that any precious metal or even semi-precious stone belongs to the government and cant be mined. That chased out the gold miner and emerald miners. They went to Peru.. The the government in Peru realized how much gold was being mined (Peru is also the biggest producer of Silver) and they put a 50% royalty on it. That chased the miners off to Bolivia, where the royalty is currently 6%. But diesel is hella expensive, running about 4-5 gallon, and when its running low goes up to about 8-9$ per gallon. They just opened up a national reserve for mining, because its a lot of money for the government. All the different groups like to mine differently. The Colombians like their barges with excavators and trommels, the Chinese like their bucket dredges, the Peruvians like suction dredges. The Bolivians like to divert rivers and open pit it to bedrock. More intense and expensive but they pull out 2-3kg per day, some operations pull out as much as 10kg per day. But come rainy season (right now) they have to stop as pits flood

Beware of bandwaggon hoppers like Alex Jones and Max Keiser. They will initially appear to be supportive, but when things get "out of hand" and massive prolonged shortages happen, expect them to renounce their support

can't really speak for bongs because iunno what taxes are involved, but check bulk purchase discounts. there might be something around ~30bongs for 10+ coins.
also look for cheaper, random issue coins they might possess. don't get hung up on looks of the coin - it's the metal you're after.

My dad pulled 1000s of silver coins from the ground. Over the course of his whole life though. It's a little rush to pull a merc or barber from the dirt

I don't get it. Does it mean the 2009 silver eagles were not burnished or proofed?

And what about the equivalents? E.g. are there dates to avoid?

I love how all movies depict Chads enforcing the patriarchy. As it happens, Chads usually don't give a fuck. The most vocal enemies of the trannies are women. But the LGBTQ+ movement seems just not to get it.
