Yes.

Statistically you are just as lucky to win the roullette table as you are to win the markets (in fact due to FOMO and paper hands phenomenon you may even fair WORSE at the market than you would at the roullette wheel.

Only 3 things can mitigate risk on the markets

1. Insider Trading: This is the number one way people make money on stocks and its highly illegal but the wealthy and elites get away with it all the time

2. Having an intimate knowledge of the industry: No guarantees here, but if you know a bunch about the steel industry that 99% of investors dont know you can sometimes predict patterns and what not

3. Having 200 IQ analytical knowledge: Running fancy algos like the nash equilibrium or crunching numbers to reduce points of uncertinty maybe you can make good predictions

at the end of the day the economy is a chaotic system and in the end you most likely will just break even in the end. so trade carefully and never EVER put anything in you arent willing to lose entirely

I had a hunch it's rigged. It's basically like the lottery. Everyone secretly thinks... yeah sure it's very unlikely to win... but what if it's gonna be me and I didn't play?

i mean if you realized anytime 2019-late 2020 there could be another bull market/bubble like happened 3 times already, you're doing pretty well rn. i agree stocks where efficient market might apply, but crypto not really

>> No.27201658

>>27200821
If that is true then why it's so easy to make money?
I just buy and it goes up

Not really, no.

based same. although ive been fairly conservative

>> No.27201815

mostly. theres a small surplus generated by coins with legit use cases. daily trading is zero sum as its basically all speculating on another's losses.

law of large numbers. sure if you flip a coin 10 times maybe you land on heads 7 times. But if you flip a coin 1000 times you almost certainly will only yield somewhere between 470 to 530 heads.

likewise if you are only looking at a years worth of investing you may be on top but extend that to say 5 years and your loses will almost surely balance out

making money on crypto is stupid easy

buy low. hold until it's high. sell. repeat.

If you get to choose when you stop flipping though, you could simply stop after a large streak of heads and come out ahead.

i mean as a avid roulette player I can't dissuade you. just set a number you are okay with losing. ive busted out in 20 minutes and busted out after 2 hours, but always resist the temptation to hit up the atm

>> No.27203436

If you buy low and sell high in a day you're being of service in helping regulate the price to average for other people and keep the market liquid. If they sold at a loss, because the previous day, some jerks were pumping it, its not your problem.

HODL DOGE COIN LADS

who cares that i bought in at .07 it will surely bounce back... r-right. Bet long enough eventually you will make one catastrauphic decision that will offset years of great trades

This shit is just all gambling. Legit gambling. Treat it exactly like a casino, set an amount to bring in with you, and if you fuck up and lose it do NOT stake your other money to get it back. Only bet what you can afford to lose. Otherwise you'll be fucked eventually. The house always wins eventually.

>Take a small percent of your paycheck.
>Use martingale strategy
>Eventually you'll hit a big winning streak (+10x)
>Walk away for good
>If you didn't win, try again next time you get a paycheck.

the chances for net gain are the same as the ratio of black to red though. but this way you won't end up homeless.

the hope in this strat is that your exponential win beats the net losses over time. the only way it works is that you're a wagie. if you just martingale one session with a ton of money you'll probably lose.

entropy is an inherent property of a thermodynamic system. elements within the system such as beings dont really stive for entropy, rather they leverage it as a force to compete against and sustain vs others in spite of entropy.
