GME Short interest is still high at 113%:

https://edition.cnn.com/business/live-news/wallstreetbets-reddit-wall-street-gamestop/h_7cdf8440b148756c2719f7bef363f150

Doesn't matter if early shorts already covered, if the price continue rising the late shorters will still get margin called and there's not enough available shares for covering.

Brokers and clearing house practically admitted they ran out of shares/liquidity/collateral on Thursday hence the buying restrictions - This is exactly what a short squeeze is supposed to cause. It was only stopped within minutes by restricting buying i.e. demand.

Guess what's going to happen as people find other ways to buy over the next few weeks.

FUD all you want, you are either jelly or a shortist.

As someone that has been holding since $35 is it actually good for the squeeze that this has gone mainstream and even more people will be FOMO buying?

>> No.27146330

>>27146218
Yes, since the price will be pumped and cause more margin calls. Sad to say some of the FOMO people may actually buy at the top when the shorts capitulate, but you can't save everyone.

>> No.27146403

>>27146218
The normies FOMO buying are most likely not informed on the actual goal since the kike media is not talking about short positions and the ridiculous short interest.
I'm still convinced that a lot of the rise we have seen is from insitutions also buying into the squeeze so the normies won't be able to dump hard on the rest when they eventually sell too early.

I'm not jelly or a short seller. I'm approaching middle age and my biggest position is Vanguard Dividend Growth Index Fund.

From my perspective I can only describe the dollacaust as being an old farmer or some shit, and you diamond hands are like fighter pilots or cavalry hauling ass past my little property. And I flap my hat and toothlessly cheer as your formations move onwards to glory and wealth.

I hope none of you ever sell. I hope wallstreet goes bankrupt, naked shirters go to federal pound-me-in-the-ass prison, and when the courts discharge the debt you all get 7 and 8 figure checks.

Also, didn’t all of you agree that cnn is fake news? Or is it fake news when it doesn’t tell us what you want to hear?

Once it goes nuclear, you can start selling then. During the VW short squeeze of 2008, the price stayed within 20% of ATH for 5 days before crashing. You shouldn't miss out as long as you check the price a few times a day.

That's like saying the amount of meat at your store is the same today as it was three weeks ago.

Yes that may be, but it's not the same meat.

Shorts have been covered, you are holding the bag.

No, it's like saying the number of people required to buy the meat at my store is still as high as it was three weeks ago.

They may have more room before they are forced to buy all the meat at my store (which there isn't enough of btw), but they still eventually have to.

Did you just miss the top post where I just said the brokerages/clearing houses practically admit they are short of shares, retard?

Or how about a quick google on the current borrowing rates for GME shorting. It's at 30 - 50%, do you want to make a smart guess at why is it so high vs the average <1%?

They are short on shares because of the volume, not because of the amount of shores. Shorts need to be margin called in order for you to be forced to either buy back or put in more collateral. The new shorts have no need for that, the older shorts in the water were already covered.

Yes they have a liquidity problem because it's a shit broker operating on margin that can't cover these volumes.

In that case, I stand corrected about being short on shares. However, their hands were forced due to the high buying volume i.e. extreme high demand. They artificially suppressed this demand, and we see low trading volume on Thu and Fri with the price ended up being the same as before instead of a dump.

This just means that there are more people that still want to buy/hold, the price is still going to go up, late shorters are still going to get margin called, and with the high SI, the short squeeze still has a lot of room to go.

>> No.27150489

Of course, there is a chance that people will start to sell off due to fear or to take profit. However:

1. After reading a good number of forums, tweets etc, it seems a lot of people all over the world are just buying and holding for principle's sake - to fuck with the hedge funds. They are already prepared to lose, they just want hedge funds to lose more.

2. Whales may sell to derisk or take profit. But with SI still so high and sentiment still so strong, that will be like cutting the fuse right before the bomb explodes. Whales should be smart enough to see this, they didn't get rich by exiting pumps right at the begining.

>>27150489
At this point:
1) No one knows how many millions of retards will still join the army, there's no way to control them, no matter how many kikes tricks you make, so someone has come to propose an insane stop to trading company shares

2) No one knows hoe many big players joined the bull game, since the squeeze is very likely

3) No other hedgies or big players are going to open new shorts now, it's of course smarter to focus on other stocks the hedgies are leaving to cover the losses, or just wait that the situation chills out a little and then short the stocks without risks.
