Depends on a lot of factors like how much you're staking, what pools you're using, the fluctuations APY, etc. Most people make back gas fees within a week or two of farming. If you're staking a lot you should make gas fees back in just a few days.

Your half and half strategy is one many in the community use, including myself. I keep half of my bao in my wallet and the other half farming up. Then I have another secondary pool earning BAO as well. BaoMan just burned a million USD worth of BAO so we're getting a new floor price most likely. People aren't understanding that whole you farm, the price is going up, you're gaining more BAO and BAO is simultaneously gaining more value as the weeks go on. This is a long term hold and you're in early if you're in now, so don't get fidgety if you think you're not making "enough." It snowballs if you do this properly and believe in the project enough to hold out the dips - cause it always pumps to newer highs every other week or so.

You should read through the documentation a bit more to fully understand the project. You're earning a lot by design - this is essentially the ICO phase presented in a way that levels the playing field between whales and average users a bit. Whales will still obviously farm more, but the token lock mechanics combined with farming being such an easy way to generate means that you're assured to make it out with decent gains no matter your initial stack if the project fully takes off as planned.

95% of what you farm is locked until December to prevent market dumping. 5% is instantly deposited into your wallet upon harvest - most people use this to refund gas fees for all the transactions. We're moving to xDai next month so gas fees will be a thing of the past as far as farming is concerned.

Depends on your investment strategy. There are a ton to pick from specifically to give you more options to weigh out. Ideally you want a pool that:

>Is a token you actually wouldn't mind holding
>Isn't a super volatile pairing
>Or at least if the pairing is volatile, the APY is high enough to offset the potential impermenant losses from providing liquidity

A lot of those super high APY coins you see are like that because they're shitcoins nobody would want to hold. If you want to take the risk, you're free to do so.
