Learn from mistakes, you start to DCA into good researched projects at some point or you just give up.

be confident about your investment. the longer you hold, the easier it gets (especially, if it was actually worth it)

Don't invest more than you can afford to lose. Research and don't fall for memes. Stop looking at your phone all the time. Accept that you're going to lose money at some point, and go with it.

Holding with a little DCA as you go, specifically in crypto, will nearly always realise gains eventually. Selling and trying to swing however - has never guaranteed anything but stress.

I know most here haven't the patience for it, but I'd far prefer secure guaranteed 20-30% gains over a year, with a chance to moon, than gamble all year long, and possibly lose it all.

Don't use money you need.
If I moon, great.
If I don't, fuck it. I can sit it out and get it back later.

If you care about it too much, you'll never hodl.

I made a spreadsheet where I put in my buy price and a target sell price. It shows me how much I'll gain if I have the patience to hold and not sell out early. When the numbers are right in front of you, it's easier to stick to your goals and see your investment through.

Anytime you want to sell before your target price, ask yourself,"What's changed?" Usually the answer is nothing, you're just being impatient, and so you should continue holding.

I’ll say it again:
If you plan to hodl, delete your exchange apps from your phone and any other references to how much you have in your portfolio. That way you don’t feel any pressure from number go down (or number go up too actually). If you need to move some stuff around just redownload.
I do this on and off. When it’s just /biz/ telling me that I’m losing money it’s just funny red wojaks until the end of the cycle later in the year.

Treat it like a game. Assume that all the money you put in to any high-risk investments (anything that isn't a mutual fund or similar low or mid risk investment), so anything that /biz/ is involved with, is money that you are throwing away. That helps you eliminate any emotional attachment to your money, but you still want to win the game. Don't keep adding money to the game unless you have money to burn, and remember, adding more money to the game is basically cheating and if you just git gud you will succeed with your initial purchase rather than buying pay-to-win DLC.
