Why is Chainlink subreddit getting so much new interest/subscribers?

I've been watching this "social media" metric for a long time. During the august pump in 2020 when Google Trends for "Chainlink Crypto" were at all time high: the subreddit got like 100 subscribers a day. This continued for a week.

Now that Google Trends is actually pretty low or average for Chainlink, but the price has been >over $20, the subreddit has been getting huge amounts of subscribers. For example, this was a pic I took yesterday (30.0k subs), but today, in less than 24 hours, it has gained over 300 new subscribers

What is causing this? Youtube crypto influencers, influx of normies in general? Keep in mind that for most of 2020 the average subscribers for this subreddit was like 100 people a week (not counting the August pump).
