Only if you find them in bulk at a house and you can grab them for free. Chances are you wont get any games in the triple digits.
As someone who resells on eBay, I would say absolutely not. If you're only looking to keep them however then sure, but only if you can manage your budget.

Only if they are rare, and usually memorabilia and containers are more collectable than the games themselves. Most gaming consoles will degrade in time due to the inherent nature of their properties. an N64 game will not be playable in 200 years unless it's kept in a sealed box. Vinyl is popular now because it preserves well.

It's very hard to predict what will be worth a lot. Take the CAVE 360 ports. I do estate sales, flea markets, auctions, antique stores, yard sales. The mix depends on the area. The market is wizening up and doing DD on their pieces which makes it harder to flip but I head for the sticks once a month (weekly pre-Covid) and there's always something to flip for cheap. Old fans, toasters, blenders. Lotta boomers with disposable income that want "MADE IN AMERICA" and the only way to get it is by buying used.

Forgot to mention militaria is big and vintage clothing (60s and older) is big. Anything with limited shelf-life like clothes, bedsheets, drapes, especially new old stock can go for big prices. Ehh not really. They dont really appreciate. Loom at the cost of most reteo games, even the "expensive" ones. They still cost less than they did new back in the day. They appreciate from their used prices somewhat, but very very slowly. Only extreme cases like Chrono Trigger have actually seen big jumps, and its still not that impressive when you loom at the time frames. I collect old games because I love them, not as a store of value.

Shame. N64 had a bunch of great games, but PS1 was the land of RPGs. FF7-9, Front Mission 3, Final Fantasy Tactics, Legend of Dragoon, Chrono Cross, Star Ocean 2, Xenogears, the list continues. N64 was better for FPS and adventure games, though.

It's a fun investment but Gen -X already bought up everything from their childhood and truth be told, emulators are better than the real thing.
I'd say collect them if it's your thing but as an investment... nah. People are going to be worrying about being 50% under on the price of their house and there 401k that has been flushed next year.

You sell those kind of things when there is euphoria and it's wide spread.
