Serious question here: How is this considered stock manipulation if you can easily find the data about who has shorted what and at which percentage? I mean all you have to do really is follow some basic logic and then make an investment in something you think may be profitable. Its a totally different situation. gme is a business that should've been able to adapt and will in the future under current leadership. They can go digital like they should.
AMC is moviebiz which got cucked by covid like lots of others. They however, avoided bankruptcy and were fairly heavily shorted. The company keeps issuing shares to dilute the price so it doesn't go GME tier. They can do this to raise capital because they're not 138% short ala GME.
There's also talk of theaters reopening soon which could return them to normal trading price which is much higher than $2 which we saw a matter of days ago.
