Why is the customer service in the US always so enthusiastic? Every time I went to the US and interacted with the customer service of any company, I started to feel better about myself after the interaction.

Wagies get fired if they aren't enthusiastic. When I was a wagie at a grocery store, we had something called a "Smile Zone" which is where we had to stand if we didn't have anyone to checkout. We also had to follow GESET. That is

>Smile
>Extra (Ask about their day or something)
