Having a "lot of money" is relative to your aspirations and expenses. A child has an aspiration for a new video game and he can buy what he wants two dozen times over with 1000 bucks, so 1000 bucks is a lot of money. For someone like a 27 year old who pays rent and phone bill and eats, 25000 is enough for a probably a year of living comfortably assuming you want for literally nothing else. So you can see your money evaporating on a day to day basis as an adult, where a child just wants to spend it on something frivolous.

doesn't that teach you that greed only makes it harder for you to become happy?
