Hey friends ... there is so much hype going around right now with everyone trying to pick the next Gamestop and become overnight millionaires. Any advice for someone like myself who is trying to see longer term returns in the market (like 5-10 years). I invest in boomer ETFs, Vanguards, indexes, boomer equities like DIS, XOM, JNJ, etc.

I would love to see more than the ~10% returns I am now. Wouldn't mind getting riskier with my portfolio trying to see annual returns of 20% and higher.

Have heard some good suggestions like TDOC, MTCH, TSM, NVDA thrown around.

Any thoughts on where I should go from here? Have close to $30K I plan on investing in the coming weeks. Thanks!

Isn't stupidity a terrible thing?
I make 10,000% on a bad year.

Depends man on how "risky" you want to get.

If I was you, I'd go to crypto and swing sale CHAINLINK, so far the best crypto for it.

>> No.26538242

Hope ya stil here, I'll give you a plan of what I would do in your place, with crypto.

I would invest into GRT and LINK.

70/30 ratio.

GRT may BOOM in few years, and due to be amount, it is pretty safe from implosion.
As per LINK, you can easily swing and make 10-15% a week, so with this formula, you'd make out that 30% into the previous 30k in less than 10 weeks, if we were talking about making 10%.

Also, as per GRT, in future it may reach trillions.
So.do.the math.

PLTR is pretty volatile right now, but its a good long term hold. Predominantly operates off of government contracts, and its name is a LOTR reference. Disclaimer I'm in it for a few dozen shares, but I highly recommend.

idk anon, the insiders are still within their lockup period and have every incentive to keep the price pumped up till February when they are allowed to sell. IMO it could go either way though tomorrow, but im still tucked in for le long haul.

Yeh thats why I heard there might be a dump mid February. I don't own any shares yet but I would like to keep it in my growth portfolio as a long position. Think I should look for a decent dip tomorrow and get in?

Picking stocks is asking to get fucked.
It all looks good in hindsight, but it Will lead to trading and you're just gonna lose in the long run.
Investing is buying things youre Willing to hold 2 decaded at least while only adding to your positions.
My advice: tech ETF's >>> stock picks
Diversify across globe, US wont be number 1 in returns forever

Besides, anon, stay the course and plan ahead.

IF you will go offroad with some alt/shit coins, it WILL be a gamble.

Do not off road unless you have accumilated a HYUGE amount of crypto.

That is, if you want to be safe.
This way you WILL get there, only a matter of time, not probability.

After that, you can swing % or two for some other coins.

Shit/alt coins can implode, do not go off road unless you KNOW you'll get something, but don't go with big % anon.
