How to save money on my lunch? My fellow wagies and I have to bring lunch to our cage. I am spending too much money on sandwiches, chips, and soda from WaWa.
But I also don’t want to make my own lunch.
Is frozen dinners smart?
What do you do for lunch, /biz/?

sardines. healthy, cheap, tasty, zero-to-minimum prep.
downside is smell, but in my experience it grows on people

You do your own Batch cooking on Sundays to make sure you're well fed so your employer can extract your labor more efficiently. Don't forget, never join a union or demand labor representation on the board of directors. Your masters won't like that, will they?

Just do all of your meal prep on the weekend, put em in plastic containers and pull em out each day.

Shouldn't take more than an hour or so and it's healthier/cheaper anyway.

here's probably the cheapest lunch and pretty easy to make the night before
>buy bulk bag of rice
>buy some cans of black beans
>packet of taco seasoning
>jar of salsa
>boil rice until cooked
>put beans in
>mix in taco seasoning
>mix some salsa in
lettuce is pretty cheap so you can put some of that in too. I also put avocado in it but those aren't cheap

Tuna & crackers is cheap, and tuna's good for you too. But buying ingredients in bulk and doing meal prep on Sunday nights for the whole week as other anons have suggested will work out much cheaper in the long run. Seriously, stop eating out and you'll be amazed at how much money you'll save.

even if you're working in scaffolding for 12 hours, you can still wash a cup of rice, put it in a rice cooker, and boil a few eggs
add some furikake; boom, lunch tomorrow in 2 minutes of active time

you cook dinner, smart choices things on sale. then you bring the left overs into work to re-heat. Bonus points if you can create a 2nd new dish easily from the first.
