I love reading this kind of articles, this absolute brainlet must think he's smart fudding silver because it's mostly a byproduct nowaday, where all i see is how extremely BULLISH in every conceivable way it truly is.

>silver for 66% of it's production is a byproduct of zinc, copper and gold mining and thus is basically cost free
This assumption is already wrong since it's a costly process to separate silver from others elements.
But fine, then it means silver is absolutely inelastic in it's production. What will happen when the silver demand will increase x10 due to the EV revolution, new regulations forcing solar panels on every roof, electric batteries in every car and silver coated material in every hospital (yes, even the plandemic is bullish for us)? And that's not even considering the investment aspect who will become the major force driving demand.

The zinc miner will suddently mine ten times the amount of zinc just to produce more silver?
The gold miner will mine ten times more gold than what he used to just to find more silver?
The copper mining industry will mine ten times more copper to find silver?
Nop.

What will happen then? You'll need specialized miners focusing on silver to carry the torch, and the demand will be so absurdly high they will basically decide the future pricetag and the industries and investors will BEG for it. The more the demand grows, the more the % of silver miners in the global silver production share will grow.

But before that happen, there will be a relatively short time window (still could last few years) where the silver specialized companies wont be able to provide the needed silver because how small and starved are the industry and mining capacities, they will need funds, equipments, permits,... before being able to produce x10 what they can nowaday. In this time window, the by-product wont be enough, the bullion reserves are already totally depleted and EVERYBODY will want to put their hand on silver.

This will be when we become basically living gods.
All the world imploring after our stacks, vital component to the very advancement of humanity, unable to unlock the next step of our technological evolution until we accept to let go our stacks for absurd amounts of money and cunnies.
It will be so glorious frens, most of you can't even start to comprehend how magical it will be.
And no doubt in the coming years, always more uses will be found for silver, making humanity always more reliant and dependant.

Reminder silver is the second most used element after oil in number of industrial applications. We can't imagine a world without oil. Nor we can't imagine a world without silver, but only you, pmgbros, know about this secret. Everybody else but few indutry moguls and banksters is completely oblivious to this fact.

Reality is in the incoming years, who control silver will control the world. And WE control our stacks, who make us more important than 99.99% of the worldwide population.
Forget about silver being a 10 bagger, IT WILL BE A 10000 BAGGER.

What do you think of nazi memorabilia and redpilled books? I believe it really can go to the moon in the coming years, and it will serve a double purpose of making money long term and preserving important pieces of history, because the commie golems and jews are in full book-burning mode lately, they try to erase our history and culture, even our race, by any mean necessary to achieve this goal.

But in the end i believe the free humanity will prevail, and when it happen, we will need to teach back the truth and restore faith in who we are and who we were. And once truth prevail, i believe the NSDAP will be seen as the ancestrors who tried to fight (((evil))) alone and were eradicated for trying to warn the rest of the world about the juden threat.

I'm mostly joking (although I have a few Gs in both), but realistically you'd profit from it the same way you would any collectible.

Some daki covers for example are limited run or only sold at conventions, not online, so for the foreign buyer they're pretty much out of reach. Nowadays you have forwarding services, and people who will basically stand in line to buy it for you, but they come at a cost. I have a retarded friend with $200k in student debt but about 50k worth of pillow cases but he has a guy who makes a living doing just that - going to cons or acting as a forwarding service to foreign buyers. Some figurine are only available on Japanese-only stores, but lots of companies already exist to bridge that gap.

It's kind of a crapshoot on what will appreciate in value and what won't sometimes, but generally the overhyped series that are popular with normies and get few figurines have a pretty solid second-hand market. Idol figures by some top tier manufacturers like Alter also so.
Then you have the weird outliers like figurine that are cast-off but weren't advertised as such and and it only gets found out after release, etc.

That figure I posted cost me about $170 4 years ago, and just doing a quick search I can see places selling it for 240-250 now. Most of my figures have either appreciated in value or have kept their value.

Not a recommended investment strategy though.

Picrel basically sells for double what I bought it for 18 months after release.

Most expensive figure I ever bought cost me about $400, but it's selling for $1000 or so nowadays so not too bad. But $80-90 doesn't really buy you much these days in terms of quality. Licensing fees are more expensive but the craftsmanship is also leaps and bounds better than it was 10-12 years ago when the market started growing.

Alter is pushing the boundaries of what you can ask for a 1/6 or 1/7 scale though, sometimes around 190-240 pre-shipping which is just outrageous. On top of that their figures are usually 12-14 months out, and more often than not get delayed by 3-6 months.

It's all so tiresome sometimes.

When deciding if you should buy gold or silver, keep in mind the GSR. Or Gold Silver Ratio. Recent historical average was like 65 to 1 or 65 ounces of silver worth 1 ounce of gold. Right now its in the mid 70s I think. The higher the number, the better bet it is yo buy silver. During economic upheavals and what not that number can drop to like 35. Meaning when you buy with high GSR and it drops to low GSR you can then exchange that silver for more gold than usual.

Buy silver.

Gold is steady. Silver has more potential to grow.

You need to crunch some numbers depending on where you live. Having the debt on a house be inflated away by central banks is literally a sacred right to all Boomers that they have trashed everything else to protect. But that inflation would be good for commodities in general. Tough call.
There is a _possible_ ticking time bomb with the rent/mortgage forbearance agreements. If that implodes, you'd get a brief sale on housing maybe. It is also equally likely the Fed just buys up all that debt and inflates it away too.

“the sound money, austrian folks will never accept that the Keynesian way is just much better for civilization. it opens up doors for entrepreneurship, allows families to have flexibility in down times, and makes wealth virtually an infinite resource. just have to monitor inflation to keep demand of the dollar up, which incidentally, has synergy with money sinks like taxes and interest rates. the downside is people are imbeciles and don't take the time to learn about their own money and how it works. to me, the faggots who end up in debt and poor is just a form of darwinism at work, but it makes for a very ripe sector for virtue signalling.“

Im new to this so sorry for the silly questions but
Is it a smart move to buy bars instead of coins? I know you cant use bars to buy stuff but you can sell the bar and get your money back right? And is it a smart idea to buy 5oz , 10oz 100oz et cetera or would lower weight be better? It would be nice to make money off selling but honestly I would just like to get x amount of some precious metals and hold on to incase the dollar gos to shit n later in life when the dollar gets better re sell the silver n get my money back. Dumb question i know but thanks in advanced for answering.

Thanks for this link. You and I both were probably the very first advocates for Pacifico Minerals (now Boab Metals) months ago. There are pros and cons with this company. Pros include up to 55m oz silver, close to fully permitted, open pit mine, 56m market cap, second largest silver explorer in Australia, major lead resource, taking steps towards production while also having significant exploratory potential, partnered with the largest lead and silver smelterer in China, tier 1 jurisdiction offering exposure away from North and South America, shareholder-engaged management that communicates frequently, recent share consolidation tightening the float, history of strong insider buying. Con: the most significant one is the very low grade of the silver. Please keep that in mind. These are among the lowest grades you’ll find. But, with that said, I believe the pros listed above outweigh that to an extent enough to warrant keeping Boab on a watchlist. And if there is talk of nationalizing miners or regulating them to death in Canada, US, Mexico, or South America, then Boab (and Irving Resources in Japan) is where you’ll want to go. I am a novice mining investor, and Boab is only a small position of mine, not core, but could become core if SHTF with my other, admittedly better, miners going forward.

Premiums are charged from dealers that represent demand, cost to make, and a profit margin. This is an added cost, reported as a % of the spot price. You can find links in the OP that compare listed prices across respected dealers. The premiums can be pretty high for "collectible" coins but you generally just want the metal. When you sell, it will likely be at spot anyway.
In general, for the same number of ounces the premiums from low to high are:
Gold -> Silver -> Platinum
And for ounces (low-> high):
100 oz bars -> 10 oz bars -> 1 oz bars -> 1 oz coins
The one exception is "junk silver". These are coins that were formerly used as currency and are typically not 0.999 silver but some lesser fraction. These are often sold in bulk and you can get pretty close to spot as if you had bought a bar. They aren't quite as sexy IMO, but a budget option nonetheless.

it would be good to have a variety of different size bullion pieces.
the more you stack the less convenient the smaller sizes become. but they are potentially easier to sell and more convenient in a barter situation for daily essentials
lets say, you aquire over time 1000 ozs or more, 1000 single one oz coins is a pain compared to a 100 ten oz bars.

>What has fed to do with repo?
You do realize Fed went full on panic during repo crisis? They started buying 10 year treasury bills as a response to spiking yields in repo market until their banker friends told them they need those in the banking system. Then they shifted their purchases further down the curve, but it shows how little they know about the system they are supposed to be central counterparty. Listen to Jeff Snider, I'm sure I botched his explanation. Although I need to read that Fed article, I'm sure there is some interesting information

when you "short sell" a stock - you BORROW the shares and sell them immediately for market price. then you hope the share price drops so you can REPAY THE SHARES back to the lender.

Key point: you do not owe the MONEY back to the lender - you owe the SHARES. So a short squeeze happens when the share price goes UP but you wanted it to go down. So you now have to re-buy those shares at a higher price in order to pay back your lender and you lose money

I was 5 years old at the height of it, so I honestly can't tell you what the leading signs were; but the last 3-4 years of the inflationary crisis were the worst. But I very clearly remember going to the supermarket and seeing an army of people with label makers re-pricing every product in store twice a day. So you'd run to the supermarket in the morning, and prices would be 30, 40, 50% higher in the afternoon.
But the cause was basically the same as every hyperinflation - government prints money to pay for its spending, it starts to circulate and the rest is history.

>>26520308
Brazil. I made a few posts here a few threads ago discussing the whole situation. In 1990 I believe inflation was 30000% or so in a year.
