We will all need a cover story to feed to normies, friends, girlfriends, etc. What's a good story that will explain why I don't seem to be traditionally employed, have all the free time in the world, and have all my material comforts taken care of, without tipping normies off to the fact that I'm loaded? So the big thing I'm concerned about isn't really random normies on the street. It's good friends from before I got rich. Some people think if they're truly good friends that their attitude won't change towards you if you tell them the truth. I don't think that's true at all. If you can't figure out encryption (a bad place to be, you really should figure it out), then you should make a habit of only storing data on your computer when you need it, and keep everything else on buried external drives like I said. If you're not really storing anything super illegal, it's not a huge deal if they're found but they shouldn't be found during normal searches, so at least you're reducing the amount of data that can get you in trouble. However this will require you to thoroughly delete your data after backing it up, you'll want to wipe unused storage space with random data at least 7 times, there is software to help you do this.
