I have a paid off car from 2007 and a degree with no debt. I feel pretty happy about where I'm at but disappointed I wasn't able to accumulate more crypto earlier. I bought $50 every paycheck but would put $100 into Robinhood, which is still very up. Most of my friends are struggling to get good jobs and most of them don't have investment accounts or crypto. I try to remind myself that I'm lucky and can put a down payment on a decent place whenever I'd like.

I don't think I'll ever make over $60k though unless I get a souless IT job. Is it worth pivoting to that if I'm happy in the industry I'm in? Making $43k rn.

Used to have 30k when I was 21, browsed /biz/ since 19 back when bitcoin was around $600. Never cared much for it, because I had a feeling I would fuck up and lose it somehow. Was always frugal, and /biz/ had a lot to do with that, but losing it all after knowing what I knew made me feel like a complete fool. That’ll come naturally. I’m fairly new to this as well but basically low market cap tokens/coins are greater risk/greater reward. If I were you I would go all into this project, you can afford about 600,000 LGCY. That leaves you with $100 in your bank account and $100 to deal with any Uniswap fees for a while. If it hits even 1 cent, that’s $6k you didn’t have and you’ve more than tripled your investment. Go big or go home at this point

Its not that interesting really, its textbook really. My parents were silent gen, dad worked, mom homemaker. They were unsophisticated respect to money, you didnt talk about it. Dad had 8th grade education but became a mechanic and we never wanted for anything, but we never went on a vacation either, ever. Anyways, never talking about money, i didnt know shit and had no respect for it. I got a degree in comp sci in 1996 and went to work literally in the dotcom boom. My first year salary was more than my dads best year. Because i had no clue, i spent money on all the dumb shit you guys lol about here...car, house, eating out half of all meals, getting a girl, spending money on vacations, etc...all tbe time, and this is the literal worst of it, on credit cards, always outspending my income. From age 25-30 was like that, early 30's was financing the debt but still spending it all. By 35-36, sold first house which had doubled in value and wiped slate clean. I got very lucky in many ways...never out of work and my income has gone up every single year since started working, and i had a house that i was able to get out of for a 2x right before the 08 crash, literally 2 months before. That was when we got our shit together, paying attention to 401k(where half my net worth is right now) and trying to invest some extra.
I had dabbled in stocks on and off but was tard and sold things years to soon...eg i had msft stock in 1991 that if j somehow held all this time would be worth 3 million.
No larp, you are already so far ahead of where i was just being on this board its not even funny.

I haven't cashed out yet, the rest of 2021 should be bullish for crypto in my estimation. But not really worried about it either way. I've watched my holdings go up and down and am completely unemotional about it.

I'm an attorney so I know how to deal with my taxes and have always reported everything. All my holdings are long term capital gains now, I don't trade.

There were a lot of smart anons around here in 2017-2018, honestly there still are but you have to really know how to read through 4chan/ /biz/'s bs to find the real shit. (I've been coming to 4chan for 15 years. Inb4 underage ban).

Link just had in my opinion the best value proposition in crypto. As an attorney I believe that smart contracts are a revolutionary industry interrupting technology. Chainlink solves a real problem to connect smart contracts to the real world, legacy systems, and blockchains to each other. It was just too undervalued, and honestly still too undervalued to not go all in. I saw my opportunity to hit and homerun and swung for he fence with it.
