There are tonnes of antiaging drugs that probably work. It's just that it takes time to TEST for obvious reasons. If it boosts mice lifespan 80 percent, it probably works on people. You literally have to do about an hour of research and order the drugs. I'm not gonna shill my preferred choice but I'm staggered at how dumb people are.

Anti aging drugs aren't good for medicine industry. They love aging. They're not gonna announce them, they WANT you to think they're some faroff innovation that will be heralded by choirs of angels. You can just DYOR and buy online. Take the lifepill anons.

Okay, so if they live 30 extra years, then what will happen in those extra 30 years? Those extra 30 years will buy them time to make it to the next set of technologies that are better at extending life than the first technologies. Those 30 years will buy them another 30 years, then another 40 years, and so on, as technology keeps improving faster and faster. And that's not even factoring in artificial general intelligence

I'd rather live in a world without a cure rather than have a cure available yet unattainable. I'm pretty sure it will be available in the next couple of decades anyway if it isn't already, it'll just take a much longer time for the general public to learn about it, that stuff will be reserved for the billionaires.

>> No.26059484

based retard zoomer thread
every human being has built-in immortality. it's called having children. your genes are passed down, and if you're doing things right by selecting the correct partner, augmented by this combination
ask yourself why is it the people fixated on immortality are overwhelmingly male and young. and if they're slightly older, it's the unmarried/divorced/unsuccessful in love type. the quest for immortality is a perversion of natural instinct, or if you prefer, a subvertive reproduction strategy from people who have come to feel they cannot hack it the traditional way
it's short-sighted to get overly attached to the biological unit that holds your consciousness. you pass your genes, through sex, through culture as well, through memes. the only way to truly die is to live an isolated life and leave no trace behind

>> No.26059522

it will advance but nothing will ever happen that’s not allowed to happen anon, homeostasis will be maintained at whatever cost. You could live ten thousand years, but it would still be nothing in the scheme of things. The perpetuation of the mortal condition is not the means of salvation for man. For as long as you are an atheist, you will continue to fear death, and you will continue to view your life - along with all things - as being ultimately worthless.

Seeing as this is /biz/, I'll add this caveat: if your gains are not ordered toward glorifying God, then no amount of money will never make you happy.
