After reading through the Paxos/Chainlink integration article released by Paxos, it does seem bullish but I'm not entirely sure the connection is actually there. Paxos isn't using LINK for all their pricing on the exchange just offering price feeds for PAX and PAXG. When someone buys crypto on Paypal, Paxos might call the oracle price feeds from the LINK net work for those two assets. Paypal is a global powerhouse with $283 Billion market cap moving into a space that is poorly or not regulated, and most of the code is open source. Peter Thiel's public comments indicated that Paypal's original vision was a payment system and a digital currency, what they succeeded in was the payment system. If they are entering the crypto space, its main goal is to take all the chips, not help pump your shitcoins. Chainlink is cute, but the idea is not copyrighted, the service is expensive and cumbersome, competition is entering the space for distributed data, and so we'll see what happens.

Paxos is a centralized company/exchange and is the back end provider for when someone buys on Paypal. They don't use decentralized price feeds because they aren't decentralized. Chainlink created PAX and PAXG feeds for DEFI contracts to consume through the their network. There is nothing here even remotely confirming that Paxos will consume their own two price feeds being created which would indirectly be Paypal using them. Read the article again, I did twice. They said it was for DEFI. I want this to be true as well I hold a metric fuck ton of LINK but its a reach. Yes that part is correct. However, there is literally zero evidence that Paxos is using the two price feeds that LINK will be setting up. They said it was for DEFI. Paxos is centralized, they don't use decentralized price feeds but they want to branch out their asset into the DEFI market. Now DEXes like AAVE, SNX etc will have access to PAX and PAXG price feeds and those assets can be listed on decentralized exchanges.

Yes read my replies I previously said that the proof of reserve for the real assets backing them is legit and a great step forward. Paxos is clearly consuming that data feed, but as it stands, Paxos isn't using those two price feeds in any manner on their centralized exchange. They are for DEFI contracts.
