However, it doesn't really play out like that. 6 figure hell is much more taxing on your psyche.

When you have a couple grand or a couple dozen grand, small daily movements are a couple hundred bucks a day at most. Not that big of a deal. When you're in six figure hell, you're seeing rapid 5-figure swings in your portfolio daily. It's much more nerve-racking, and you feel the need to check the charts more often, rather than just forgetting about it and checking occassionally

Plus there's the whole issue that while six-figits is good money, it's still not quite enough to buy a house and retire on. So you have the stress of all these unrealized gains, but still living like a poorfag with no liquidity

If you hold through a crash, you're an idiot and will regret it forever, but same if you sell too early and could have been a millionaire. BUT, on the other hand, if you can give your head a shake a zoom out, six figure hell is actually great. I’m in since day 1 link I started in July 2017 though bought eth and litecoin pretty cheap. Found Sergay talking on YouTube and instantly felt I needed to be all in. My original goal was to try to reach $5 million and if possible try to get closer to $10 million.
However that was before seeing all the new developments and future possibilities.
I will have to make my decisions dynamically based on the project expectations and Link valuations in the future.
The only thing I could now buy if I decide to sell a small amount of my stack would be silver or gold, but the expectations of ROI are much smaller than with Link.
It's funny but we can never cash out, and if staking goes live we won't have to.
Trying to become a billionaire would be an interesting goal, but it will be harder to do.

I spent the last 2 years preparing for this, making plans for cashing out, learning wealth management and a bit trading.
This would be the reason to sell a small part of my stack depending on the future Link valuation in order to have a diversification of risk in case of an extremely unlikely event which causes me to lose my main investment.

Ray Dalio's all weather portfolio was the original investment strategy I was planning to use with some small modifications.
The current issue however is that we are living the end of an empire, and capital controls may soon happen if the western governments try to prevent the $ and € from dying too quickly.
As such the debt part of this portfolio would have to be replaced by one of an emerging country or ignored until a new currency appears.
There is also a similar risk for stocks to crash either in $ value or through accelerated inflation.
Which leaves only gold, silver, or similar investments and stocks related to it.
This is really a strange time to experience and it's understandable why BTC is going up so quickly.
Cryptos are unironically the safest asset to keep at this moment and the hardest for the state to steal.

Neither does anyone else, I could give a list of possible "good" hedges but even then it's a hard call.
