Leverage trading (for US) on there is shitty and not intuitive at all. Other than that, I like it. Great fee structure.

Yes you can. Kraken is a solid exchange with 24/7 support. Best exchange and US based. NExt one I 'd rec is Bitstamp but you can not go wrong with Kraken. They have a bank charter ffs

great exchange. they've had missteps like everyone, but have gotten much better. sometimes have issues with liquidity in retail market, but that can also mean more opportunity for profit. I remember back at the very start of the 2017 bull there were several days in a row with such high usage that the entire retail exchange became basically unresponsive and unusable. they have since overhauled everything. great charts, great indicators, easy to use interface (they bought out an independent crypto charting software company)
and lastly, they have been put in charge of mt. gox claims which is a huge level of trust within the industry.

and on the off chance that it applies to you, they also do a lot of OTC and dark pool trading, even to the point that i've heard that those services make up the majority of their volume

>not intuitive
really? I guess maybe yeah you might have to read the documentation first. But I took their liquidation example for leverage and just mathed it out for my own position. That was very clear how I could open something that wasn't a complete gamble and have confidence the close order would work.

Just my two cents:
I started getting into Crypto at the beginning of December, opened the Kraken Account, had a few problems with them validating me, support was actually helping me without me asking them to do so. They got me going, super fast replies, the only thing that sucks is that deposits sometimes take a while to register, but I am pretty certain that this is due to the banks, not kraken itself.
All in all, very manageable fees that come to around 10 dollars roundabout, which is super cheap if you ask me, especially for the service.
They are secure, are veterans in the field and I wouldnt want to swap to another exchange.

Hope that helps, by the way, today I completed accumulating my first BTC (and probably my last)
