and this is only one of about 4 times similar things have happened to me, although the only time that's happened to me in the US- the others have been while traveling abroad- getting drugged, kidnapped, and set up to have "accidents" and each time I escape semi-miraculously.

He informed me that he used to be Jerry Garcia's heroin dealer and had traveled with the Grateful Dead for much of the 70s and 80s, selling LSD provided for the tour by the CIA, working through Hog Farm commune in California. He then lays out cocaine on the table in full view of the owner and door guys (who are the only other people in this disused part of the building, and who are apparently taking pictures of us) and starts talking about prices for kilos of cocaine. I'm like 'whaaaat the fuck is going on. hell no"

One guy very politely said "who are you and why are you here." they were the country's special forces drug interdiction unit, and they thought I was a drug smuggler. I called my friend and he explained we were there on business, and I told them that I was a recovering heroin addict who had traveled to their country to take ayahuasca. They realized that I was obviously not a drug smuggler and was just some stoner who had inadvertently gotten caught up in something waaay bigger, and left after paying for my meal.

seconded! this book changed my life. Dr. Michael Newton is great, both Journey of Souls and the sequel are amazing. the gist of it is that a psychotherapist (a real one, with an MD etc) got into using hypnotic regression to treat his patients' persistent problems, but quickly found that many issues stem from past lives (which is a whole different can of worms but very well-supported, look up Dr. Ian Stevenson's Cases of the Reincarnation Type for more info on that)

it's a quick read, full of interesting case studies and transcriptions of recordings from people as they were hypnotized, describing the period in-between lives. sounds pretty cool, kind of like a cosmic Hogwarts. highly recommend. i found this book on the street when i was at absolute rock bottom and it resonated so strongly that it made me want to change my life. this knowledge is helpful because it frames your challenges as obstacles to be overcome to develop your soul. gives meaning to life and a different perspective to relationships.

The only way they've been getting any kind of attention so far is by organizing giveaways, promise of a 2nd airdrop and hijacking the XRP/Flare hype.

the reason vitalik is so toxic towards xrp is because Flare has an etherum virtual machine. this means any ERC-20 tokens don't have to change any code or rewrite the entire project and can jump ship from eth over to flare.

ETH isn't even capable of fully utilizing its erc-20 tokens because of its lack of ability to scale and has gas fee that brings everything to a screeching halt.
