I've noticed an uptick of hyperinflation-related threads in the past couple of days, and thought it might be wise to consolidate the discussion into a dedicated general which can maintain a persistent identity for a hopefully more fruitful discussion.

I believe inflation is going to be the main topic of 2021 and this is something that can unite both the cryptochads and the goldbugs on this board (who are otherwise diametrical to each other).

Central banks printing money to the major bond holders (VCs, big companies and other banks) are the main reason for the rise in inequality

with the amount of money printed in 2020, we will see inequality rise to unprecedented levels. Capitalism will be blamed (rather than money printing and automation, the real reasons), and the society of higher control will be implemented through an engineered revolution.

It's depressing to watch, but this is to the history books: some of us knew. It was democracy that allowed this to happen, just as weak leadership/tyranny allowed it in Roman times.

What is needed is a hybrid form of autocracy and democracy, a ruler for life who chooses their next in line, a list of heirs recorded on blockchain. This counters populism and the idiotic mob pleasing that is modern politics. They should be counterbalanced with a democratic senate, and a ruler can be removed by 80% majority. This counters tyranny and corruption (as seen in Roman times).
Genetic tests should be used to prevent heirs related by family from being selected, for at least 5 generations.

If you can get the interest rate fixed throughout the lifetime of the loan with a sub-5% interest, then probably. Unfortunately at least in my country these loans are very difficult to get and according to statistics 45% of all loans contracted by households in this country have floating interest rates fixed every three-months.

When inflation arrives and rates rise to compensate there will be a FIRE SALE of property here. I advise anyone who has a lot of cash and/or gunpowder in the form of gold or crypto to keep their eyes open here.
