Is it worth buying a Cybertruck, do you guys think?
Clearly, you save a good bit on gas and the maintenance seems a bit more convenient than taking it to Drunk Randy behind Domino's or getting fucking swindled by morans at a dealership or an auto place. There's no engine to die on you, no fluids to always replace, and so, so much more.

Can anyone Redpill me on the Cybertruck?
No, seriously discuss financial things.
But non-financial discussions are also welcome. I also want to know of peoples' experiences, if anyone's got one.
Thanks.

Actually, the investment would be not investing in a shitty normiecar.
I'd need a truck in a short couple of years and I'd spend a similar amount on one that's gas powered.

Besides, I don't want to deal with all of the tedious maintenance of manufactured obsolescence anymore.

I'm actually planning something similar. Probably a model Y for the lady, with the extra seats, of course.

Yes, yes, I should just be asking about Teslas in general, but I'm curious what you guys think about the Cybertruck specifically.

So, I guess my question had two parts:
What do you guys think of the financial aspects of Teslas vs traditional models?
Also, what do you think specifically about the CT?

Alright nobody else covered this so I'll give it a crack. In terms of money, electric vehicles can be better, but for the first ~3 years the only think you'll really have to worry about is tires. Maintenance costs don't really affect your payment, so with a cost of $50-$70 thousand, vs something like the F-150 being ~40k, the Cybertruck's monthly payment would make it a poor investment.

I'm not just some normie.
I'm just going to buy it all and not worry about making payments.
>for the first ~3 years the only thing you'll really have to worry about is tires.
Yeah, by that time something major goes wrong with just about any new car. No surprise and it seems like a huge upside.

I honestly think scalping any sort of high ticket veblen good is an okay move going into the future. You could likely flip it for a profit.

A new generation of asians is moving into the middle class (and, if you've been to china, already has, many areas are better than parts of the US), they want high quality western goods and will pay out the nose for them. Scalpers stand to make big profit.

A cybertruck could last you a lifetime, making it an amazing investment. Hopefully low maintainance, extremely durable, ive definitely got my eyes on one. Maybe not right away, waiting on the next big battery upgrade. Would be insane to have a 1000mile battery that could last 1mil+ miles. We are a few years away and I have a lot of would, could, hopefully, and I won't be an early adopter with this but yeah probably the best vehicle investment you could make

It would be based as fuck for us. We live on an off grid solar compound in a wintery forest so that 16" clearance and zero maintenance would be ideal. We could charge it ourselves for free.

Good cargo and passenger capacity too, literally no reason not to do it.

We could charge the fucking truck up in town and come back home with 300 KWh of juice which would power us for 5-6 days straight with no sun
