Just finished my first semester of computer science and realized I don't enjoy programming at all. I want out of this major but I don't know where to go.

I've always been good with computers and could probably do something IT or networking-related but I don't know if that's a good move. None of my other interests are monetizable so I'm really just looking for something to fund my hobbies and investing.

I was thinking UX because I like design, but I've heard it's kind of a meme. Please tell me what to do with my life, /biz/.

This might sound kinda unhelpful but it's the truth

Noone can tell you. It's your life, and noone will be held responsible for whatever direction you take it in. Welcome to adult.

And as you might be able to tell by the topic-dodging replies, it is also quite a touchy subject. Most people never really figure out what to do with their life, though you at least seem to have a rough direction. Some devote themselves to a passion or a duty, some live nomadic or religious lives, some make it trading cryptocurrencies, some waste away into seniority working a 9-5 job they hate because they "need the money" and some kill themselves along the way. My advice is get some friends and struggle together.

Travel. All in high risk shitcoins and try to make $1M. Relax. Sit poolside. Spit game at young girls and try to fuck as many as you can.

Accumulate DMG.

Definitely drop out if you don't like it. Don't waste another dollar on a degree you won't use.

Anon man the fuck up. Don't listen to the zoomers above pursuing influencer careers. They think Tiktok content creator is a real job. You sit this one out and get your degree wether you like programming or not. Only then you can consider getting other degrees like horse polisher or rapper.

I would say try to leverage your time waste from those shit video games along the years. Do so by maxing your resource base and accumulate passive incomes, which is fundamentally anyone's goal. Don't listen to other failures telling you why you can't. See a vision and die with it, or die before reaching it. Anyway if this isn't a get completely disregard my advice but still take whatever luck I can give. GTKRWN

Yes. I don't mind tech in general. I can even tolerate some programming, but I would never want it to be my main job.

>>25076497
That's part of the goal.
