1mil+ at least I think. Need enough wealth to be able to create more wealth and not just consume the interest returns to live.

Depends on how cheap you're willing to live. If you live in a trailer park you would only pay like $50/month in rent. If you're willing to work 20 hours per week, live in a trailer park and eat potatoes and rice for sustenance every day, you could probably start doing that right now.

You can just skip work and go to the beach right now. It doesn't cost money.

Same. I think by the time I have 1 mill, a good house will cost at least 400k. I plan to take one mill, throw in whatever blockfi/celcius thing ends up not being a rug pull and collecting 40k to 50k a year. I really dont care about mansions and cars just want no work.

Average S&P return is like 9%, so with $1M invested, that would be 90k a year in added value on average. The problem is that there are often years and in the past even decades where you don't increase in value but lose it. If it's your sole income, I think it's best to have AT LEAST $1M and that's with a paid off house and assuming you can live modestly. With $1M you still need to take care to reinvest gains made during good years and not live lavishly. $3M imo is much more comfortable and provides the best lifestyle relative to risk and work to achieve it.

I'm actually using Blockfi right now but as soon as national banks that are fully insured start offering such services, I will be making the switch (even at a loss in APY).

I actually like my job and would keep doing it even after making it. Waging in europe is fun 35hour work week, 20 days paid vacation, holidays, paid sick leave. 50% of my job is stand by time in which I can do whatever.

I've looked at BlockFi, Abra and Celsius. I know I want a bitcoin rewards card. But I also know at least one is a scam and one will be incompetent with security.

>> No.25066453

Also a calculation that is simple to do but hard to face.
The money you need to retire divided by what you can save in a year = years to retirement with investing.
For me average I could save is 25k a year after taxes and expenses. The horrible realization that it requires 10 years of wage cucking to save 250k is grueling. And in 10 years that'll be worth probably 120k of today's money. So its bitcoin or bust. Our generation has nothing else good to buy into. Stocks are fake, housing is inflated, bitcoin is the only chance we are getting. So I am holding 90% my net worth until it's enough to be life changing, there is literally no point in cashing out until then.

I think Blockfi is backed by Coinbase and the Winkelvoss twins. Blockfi also doesn't have a "buy our token for more returns!" ponzi scheme going on so they generally feel safer.
Oh, and I got a $250 USDC bonus from Blockfi even though I thought I was only getting $50. Fucking based.

It's not retirement money though. You'd be able to start your own business with 200k but if it fails you're pretty fucked.
