This is a complete scam. Coinbase did not give any details as how it would structure their offering. Usually you would have the banks arrange for institutions to get first call on the stock at a fixed price and that goes against everything crypto is about. The founders of Coinbase have a vested interest in crypto, not just gains, and will probably go another route. My guess is that they would try to work with the SEC to offer stock via token on the blockchain. That would be an amazing accomplishment that would change the world. If that fails they would simply do a direct listing like other tech companies have done recently.
