i think pro poker players are more skilled than most investors, but its also stupid to try making a living with worse odds.

I've been to casinos counting cards before. The moment you manipulate the math to start winning consistently it's like you knocked down a wasp's nest or kicked an ant hill. They don't even care if you're counting cards, the moment you start winning they treat you like you're counting cards. Fuck the house. They deserve anything that happens in the game.

Only brainlets believe that poker is gambling though.

Poker is gambling, anyone who says otherwise is retarded. But if you play for an income its gambling with an edge.

It makes more sense to compare poker players with day traders rather than investors. They both overlap in terms of skill and psychology but it's hard to say whether a poker player could succeed as a day trader and vice-versa.

Bet heavy on match wins and even harder on match points. Made a fortune.

Following the same logic you can also say that investing in bonds/equities is gambling with an edge.

For a few years I'd play poker at my local pub every week, made a few grand from old dumb cunts. A like to think my game was a mix of Daniel Negrerno, Chris Ferguson and Sammy Fahr

In May, DMG was my biggest play. Now it's 80% down and nobody wants to buy it. Guess what happens next.

Maybe your just bad. Who was the pro? Jamie Gold?
Online is different. Seen enough bullshit senarios to not trust it. Especially when tournaments wind down to the bigger cash prizes. Quads v Straight Flush v Full house type senarios every other hand while you never see that irl.

My hourly was always good to great and i can tell by how you talk your a retard. You get more hands in online than you do live. Your monkey brain is remembering all those bad beats and making you think online is rigged, it isnt. Online poker sites make enough off rake no reason to risk losing a gaming license to scam joe the fish for 10$. Just because your opponent sucked out a few times doesnt mean its rigged.

I'm surprised biz isnt more into poker. Maybe zoomers just aren't into this type of game? 10 years ago it was insanely popular and now its actually legal and legit.

>> No.24946740

There is definitely skill and strategy in poker but ultimately it is gambling. Consider the possible outcomes of a shuffled deck, its literally unpredictable

Probably bc the edges online are extremely small, and they don't have the confidence to go in person....Live poker is the best. Can't wait til fuckin covid is over
