Ask yourself if you're just putting a mental carrot on a stick and just ruminating about what could have been or are you planning ahead?

Sure it sucks, but on the bright side you got no kids, no heart breaks, nobody to fuck you over, no fear of retaliation from others, and anonymity. You can become anyone you want to be since nobody really knows you except for your family. Go to a meetup of your choice (meetup app) and just bullshit craft a story when others ask about you. Say you got a great job, girlfriend, whatever it is you want, just to see what it'd be like if you 'made it'. You'll quickly notice it's really not that big of a deal, and that you may not be the only one lying about it at that meetup.

Anyways, legit, make a plan, set a goal, do reading if you aren't informed on how to reach said goal, then split it into easy to do tasks and wean into your 'optimal' schedule. You can start by small shit like folding your bed every day, brushing your teeth, then move onto reading 5 mins every day uninterrupted. Then progress to 10 , 30 and 60 minutes or more. Start by walking down the driveway every day. Then move onto down the street, around the blog, then repeat this with jogging once you feel ready. Driveway, street, block. Hell you can do two in one, get an audiobook and listen while you walk.

You can make it if you want it bad enough. Just sit down, take a paper and write down what is missing in your life that eats at you. Nothing else. Just bullet points. Next if you have an idea as to how you can reach any of those things, write it down. Put that paper next to your bed and look at it daily. You want that. That is what you want. Nothing else matters. No motivational speeches, no bullshit step by step programs, just you and your checkpoints.
