Are you fully synced? Are you on the right blockchain and not forked? Use a block explorer to compare it to your local blockchain. Also did you use the right hardware wallet address? Did you have a passphrase? Many possibilities

Can somebody give me a quick rundown please on the attacks a few weeks back..

Also would running the GUI wallet off easy mode without downloading the blockchain impair the ability of my funds showing up? Last time I was running the GUI off advanced mode with the blockchain downloaded.

I'm downloading the blockchain again on a new computer it's downloaded just less than half. Once it's fully downloaded my funds should appear right?

Any help would be highly appreciated.

You likely can't synch because the majority of nodes are malicious. Either that or it's a wallet bug, which is routine too. If you want to use Monero it's safest to keep it on an exchange, the whole network is broken and can be tracked. I sold my Monero for PRV and 0x.Monero.

If it says "waiting for node to sync" or whatever you need to go in your monerod and type sync_info and then ban the IPs that are two blocks ahead of you and have random ports that aren't 108080 or whatever.

Also remember scanning the blockchain for your wallet takes a while even if your node is fully synced. With remote nodes it takes longer, like hours if starting from block 1.

Ok with that fast internet you can do it. A fast way to check would be to run the wallet in easy mode, so you connect to a remote node. What can have happened is that you at one time only had conection to the sybil attacker nodes, in this case you also need to delete your p2p state and set your outgoing connections higher or you will be trapped inside the sybil nodes.

Explain this a little better please. I think it's related to what you are saying. I am running the wallet on easy mode on my other Macbook and the Balance is showing as 0. How do I delete my p2p and set my outgoing connections higher. I think I'm trapped in the sybil node.

Yeah ledger firmware might not be ready yet and OP might need to use an older monero GUI or wait. Never used a hardware wallet but it always seems they're only compatible with exact matching versions.

Go to the folder where your blockchain is stored, there is a file called p2pstate or something like that. Simply delete it but the wallet needs to shut down before. After that open the wallet again and go to log, there you write out_peers 20 and you can connect to more people that way. Also if you downloaded the wallet, did you at least check the sha256 hash?

I downloaded the GUI from
https://www.getmonero.org/downloads/

And I did check the sha256 hash.
I've been having serious issues with my Monero wallet for the last four weeks or so with 90% of my outgoing transactions failing to send. However I was able to successfully send to Binance about three days ago before restoring my again today and having the balance now shown as 0.

Of course it’s related. A daemon is a node that you connect to to get the block chain.
You are not syncing to the block chain. You are scanning the blockchain, which means you are finding a node and then running your private key through every transaction to check your balance. In this case, you are unable to connect to a node, meaning you aren’t actually scanning the block chain.
Go to advance, connect to remote mode. Follow this: https://www.getmonero.org/resources/user-guides/remote_node_gui.html

>> No.24889619

You are not downloading the blockchain lol you are connecting to a daemon (a node) that has downloaded it and then scanning their download to become fully synced to the network. This is how it works unless you run your own node.
