I make meme/political graphic tees and also sell crowbars to Qboomers/schizos on Twitter. Doing about $2k in sales a week now through Shopify and in-person sales. 4chan ads have given me a little over 10,000 unique clicks and account for about 70% of my total sales. Don't fall for ((their)) paid themes, a little bit of custom coding and smarts on the free themes will do you just fine until you get big enough to afford a custom site. Be warned that paypal will take forver to release funds, fees take up a bit too if you have the lowest tier subscription on Shopify. Make sure you have email set up to manage customer service inquiries (info@ or support@ email domains work well if you can filter them –I use protonmail for this because I hate Google). Make sure you have your shipping rates set up appropriately so you don't spend a lot on shipping. Third-party logistics providers are good for low shipping rates.

I've been decreasing costs in other areas as I go so hopefully I can make more profit per shirt.
I choose to print on super soft nice quality shirts and not the Gildan low-quality crap so I take a bit of a loss there on profit but it's worth it to sell better quality merch.

I do everything through Printify and host my own website. Printify integrates with Shopify so after my designs are uploaded and I have a sample print of my t-shirt I want to sell I just click "active" and the product is live. Since they are printed on demand I do not have to keep inventory of any one shirt so I can just delete the ones that don't sell and keep the ones that do. All shipping and taxes, etc. is handled by Printify. All I do is answer customer service emails every once in a while and make memes for my Twitter presence.
