24759581 No.24759581 [Reply] [Original]

It's all so tiresome, watching my portfolio bleed until oblivion while everything else is going up. I have resorted to drinking alcohol home alone, watching weird ass shit on youtube and ignoring all friends and family who I already told to "wait and see" a year or so when I finally make it. What comes next?

Bought at 20c, feeling comfy af. I'd be buying even more at these prices but I have no money left.

Never go in more than you can afford to lose on something, especially not a low market cap deflationary token used to increase arbitrage in algorithmically balanced index funds. I love Statera but if you went all in without diversifying risk — which you can even do by pooling — on a community token with an anonymous dev and a mostly outwardly facing team of a Nigerian and Canadian transwoman you’re fucking crazy.

I love Abu and Meghan and wish them the best but like dear god why would you do that. Good news is Statera has bottomed out and goes up from here, friend, and the Coingecko price is fucked by Hotbit. Mark graduated Harvard and the actual Dev is likely a genius.

A lot of coins with ICOs and hype do that shit, even Cardano which is the most bullish crypto in the top 20 market share imo. Statera double pumped, comes from nowhere and has no marketing. It’s more like Bitcoin.

Yeah... I still trust trust the team to some degree but months without anything happening has really killed a lot of hope. I get that many projects go on crabbing/bleeding for years (link) and some for a
year (ampl)... but still

Now that you point that out it becomes even more clear. Whatever...

>> No.24760275

Eh look at the early graphs of Bitcoin, Link, DOT, Eth and see the initial pump and what becomes of them. You have to have faith. Crypto brings great rewards but also higher risk. Especially DeFi which is very much in its infancy.

Can someone tell me why statera specifically is shilled so heavily on /biz/? There's dozens of deflationary tokens that exist, why did this one get so popular on here?

It functioned extremely extremely extremely extremely extremely well before it was hacked. It has a shitload of memes and a ton of people obsessed with it. It’s my only low market cap (sub 50) hold at the moment. I don’t gamble my money ever and I have faith in this little coin. :-)

The funny part about this soon to be pasta is that currently, had you bought STA 147 days ago your investment would have 46x’d in roughly 3 weeks and would still be 3-4x.

It’s a cheap, relatively young project. The official twitter and telegram has basically no marketing activity which is perfect so no one but /biz/ knows about it allowing for anons to accumulate. It went through an exploit (which was Balancer’s fault) and still kept on going and making ATH’s. It’s safe to say it’s pretty waterproof. Devs proved themselves after refunding 2M worth of tokens after the exploit, keep in mind this is a 2-3M marketcap project, this is a big deal for any project, but especially such a young and small one.

The tokenomics imply that if it were to get going, it wouldn’t stop growing. And it’s still here, nearly 6 months after release, sitting at a higher price than the early months despite having little to no progress recently, waves of coordinated fud and one whale dumping his fat stack for months.

Essentially, Statera is exactly what DeFi stands for. If it were to gain momentum, all the early holders would become batshit rich as DeFi becomes more recognized and mainstream like crypto already is slowly becoming.

I have 5 btc, 200k Ada and 150k Statera and half in fiat.

I don’t own any Eth. My bet is that if Eth is doing well in 5 years, Statera will be doing better. I may have made a grave error in this assessment, as my average Statera buy in is 6 cents.

Cue PIGERz telling the Balancer exploit was entirely Statera’s fault (protip: it wasn’t - Balancer knew about the exploit almost a month before Statera even existed but chose to do nothing and instead even whitelisted STA)

Statera fucked up their token twice (plus the retarded idea to use STA Classic to get everyone's funds out of STA) (plus the retarded let's set STAC and STAv3 down to 10k marketcap so we create swinging opportunities)
Statera could have just used the pool token since day 1 and not fucked up the gulping function from day 1.
Fuck Scott, he's a horrible programmer who doesn't test and think ahead worth a shit. And the lack of marketing is the cherry on top of the shit sundae, it's like he hates making money.(well unlike Sergey he doesn't own any tokens so he doesn't have any incentive to market it)

And why did the fuck around with the index fund like 4 times?
The original index fund had 25 tokens in it.
The second index fund was the 20% each of SNX/LINK/ETH/BTC/STA
and then came out the retarded 2 pools which have some weird 30-40% proportions which rely on Ethereum.

Most don’t even know about the history of STA

Also yes, it was Balancer’s fault 100%. Why do you think they paid for it? They even paid like 3 times more than the amount that was stolen.

You really think ANY company would reimburse $1,500,000 for something that wasn’t entirely on them? You’re a fucking idiot if you do lmao.
