I worked at Walmart for about 3 months in college. They paid above minimum wage and gave me a lot of extra shifts but I started falling behind in school. Also they wanted to me to work Black Friday when I wanted to go home and see my newborn nephew so I just quit. I used to manage a cinema as a part-time gig.
The higher-ups wanted us to scam the student workers whenever possible to save money.
Like to convince them to go home early whenever it was empty or to just make them clean up shit in toilets to break their will.

I think American stores have designed this kind of "HELLO HOW ARE YOU HOW CAN I HELP YOU TODAY?" shopping experience to 1) pressure customers into buying things; 2) keep customers moving along, so if you're not buying, you're leaving; and finally 3) keep niggers from stealing because they're constantly being watched.
