Knowing XMR there'll be a sudden BTC dump in a couple hours

i'd argue that monero is the safest crypto, even above btc

Because the actual use case is 100% secure unless another startup can overtake it. No matter what happens to BTC, the dollar, etc. the drugs HAVE TO MOVE. You don't have to count on it becoming the world currency. Just being token money for drug dealers and people trying to expatriate wealth is enough.

They can suppress the price of Monero only for so long. We've clearly been dealing with some entity that does not want our price to rise because there aren't many logical reasons as to why every shitcoin of the month is mooning except the one crypto with actual use case.
Eventually only strong hands will be left, and we will see a mooning for the ages. This type of suppression can only backfire.
I can't say when it will be time. I can only say that the longer we crab, the higher liklihood Monero breaks out. I really hope that Bitcon falls and consolidates around 14k for a few months. This would let immense growth happen for our ratio.

they put up a huge sell wall of Monero at a certain price which prevents Monero from breaking through. Then, swing traders and weak hands take over and sell at even cheaper prices than that point. The whales can then pick up cheaper Monero than what had gotten taken out of their sell wall.
whales manipulate every crypto. If they want to increase the value of a crypto they start buying in big numbers and then stop once the market takes over.

>> No.24527901

they sell just enough to keep the price low enough to wear they actually are able to accumulate more xmr.

I wonder if this actually works in slow moving low volume markets like monero's, I mean if they break through the sell wall or the price stays under the wall and doesn't dump, it's a huge loss for the whales. Seems like an unnecessary risk

in other words, the central banks are going brrrrrrrr to suppress monero?

>> No.24528078

>>24527989
you can remove a sell wall at any time. So if they notice that people are buying at a high rate they can remove that sell order and watch the price naturally grow. This will eventually happen. The problem though is if Monero's demand continues to rise at the level a lot of us think it is, then they take a huge risk because that pent of demand can explode.

okay, but explain this: who on earth is selling at this price point? XMR is not mainstream enough to have moment panic sellers, especially at this price, say they put up a sell wall, who on earth is in such a mental state to sell at 0.0066 out of momentary panic because of a sell wall?

>> No.24528568

>>24528052
Central banks aren't directly involved with this; though indirectly, Central banks support these schemes by setting the monetary policy and keeping the show going with asset inflation scams like quantitative easing, so in that respect yes, you are correct.
I imagine the whales are powerful people who want to build meaty XMR stacks. Could also be government entities....probably a combination of the two.
>>24528209
>who on earth is selling at this price point?
I agree with you, we really should be getting close and I have noticed a shift over the past several days. The weak hands are being cleared out.
But despite our ratio plummeting the USD value stayed the same, and to me this is extremely bullish, especially if we are consolidating at a previous ratio bottom as opposed to a lower ratio.

>> No.24528946

>>24528622
I would argue that the USD value of Monero is pretty organic, because this is something that can't have a sell order put on. The ratio, however, can be controlled by whales, especially whales that are taking massive profits on shitcoin pumps and then using that profit to throw into Monero.

if you have like 7 figures money in there (30-50mil) you can easily manipulate like any market.
