Because it seeks to destroy/largely upend what they're most invested in. This is what always happens when big new advancements are made, people are against it, then overbearing regulation comes. Boomers have too much skin in the game and also they just prefer the old fashioned way. My dad owns a corner store and he doesn't give a shit about crypto, and says he wouldn't accept it. Mind you hell bitch endlessly about the money printing and is aware of the banks and issues going on in the world. Just stops at solutions because he believes it isn't possible.
