I don't pursue FIRE but I am naturally cheap so I've been on those parts of the internet. It sounds like you just hate popular subreddits, which I agree with. Most of these people are gen-Xers who base their identity around saving money rather than making more money.

It is good to avoid wasting money though - most of life is already boring, only genuinely interesting activities (not consumption) are free or derived from within.
