tfw my coin is going up, why cant it go DOWN MAN I STILL NEED TO BUY MORE

>> No.24280863

precious metals never crash. they're a product of backbreaking work and serious amounts of energy. bubbles correct and people fail to properly recognize value but all the same, PMs will be valuable.

there is functionally no supply cap on metals and silver in particular has the potential to be heavily inflationary

>> No.24280969

>>24280910

almost all the silver that's mined gets used up. it has no potential to be inflationary because it can be used to make other things more efficient. more silver means less industrial thrifting and most nations, especially the USA seem loathe to exploit their natural reserves. there's no goddamned way silver will ever be inflationary.

>> No.24281016

saying rare industrial metals are inflationary is fud, plain and simple.

bro almost all silver that gets mined is just a byproduct of ore beneficiation for a different metal, if we reopened dedicated silver mines the supply would explode

gold only goes up in loose financial conditions i.e post crash. we are in deflationary conditions right now. stocks are going to crash

don't hold your breath for that. it's a rare, strategic material. they won't mine more than is needed to meet the bare minimum of industrial demand.

and industry pisses it away on useless consumer goods. yeah, i'm sure everyone is rushing to mine up the rest so they can sell it for 20$ an ounce, barely covering their costs, to have it go in some shitty tesla.

>> No.24281351

if it were economical to mine just silver, the people who own these properties would do just that. but industry seems reliant on silver obtained incidentally.

>> No.24281503

but i think the important point is that excess supply would likely be expended very quickly, wouldn't you agree?
