Why is chainlink underperforming against the rest of the market? Is it overvalued?

How many % gained have the rest of the top 20 coins done this year? Are we really at the bottom? Did not know that pretty saddening

The market is like an ocean. When there's a big wave incoming, the water recedes and then finally the wave reaches the shore. The bigger the wave, the more the water retreats before splashing everyone.

True projects will gain money sustainably. Don't always follow big pump numbers. As quickly as they pump as quickly do they dump. Just look at eRSDL that turned out to be an absolute scam.

Steady money influx is a sign of sustainability. The big pumps will come to the patient. Don't let yourself be provoked by shitcoiners that dangle their quick pumps in front of you. They'll be soon price dout forever

I wouldn't say chainlink is undervalued *for now*.

Very soon chainlink *will* be undervalued though, because very soon, a lot of the shit the team is talking about will actually start to exist.

Link is up over 500% for the year. Calling this 'underperforming' is nonsense.

Link is a long Hodl. I don't expect 1k until like, 2025 personally.

>hurrdurr fud drns

I hold link and bought $250 more yesterday.

LINK is unironically forming a massive bullflag at the moment. DCAing into LINK is the best bet you can make for the next two bullruns in my opinion, especially when Sir Gay stops his dumps in that timeframe.

But how am I supposed to retire if I can't sell?
It's already ironic to continue wage slaving with a few millions but I find it hard and risky to take a loan with Link as collateral to wait for this.

>> No.24260707

>>24260607
Anyone who suggests taking loans out to buy more link is retarded. I know it's very reddit, but only invest what you can stand to lose.

Nobody is suggesting that here, I don't think. Keep adding to your stack, and wait. Tortoise and the Hare. How much are you valued at?

>> No.24260782

>>24259873
The simple fact is Chainlink already has its pump. You won’t see it go past $30 for another 3 years at least. Much better things to switch to in the meantime. (This is what /biz/ chooses not to believe but plugs its ears and screams)

>> No.24260899

>>24260707
Not to buy link but to pay for living costs until Link reaches 1k.
That's similar to how billionaires live.
They take a loan from the bank by putting their stocks as collateral.
This way their stocks can keep increasing its value while they use bank lent money without having to pay taxes on cashing out.
The problem with crypto is the extreme volatility which makes this very risky.

I am still adding to my stack but I can't even add 1% to it easily anymore at the current price...

>a lot of the shit the team is talking about will actually start to exist
Heres the hard redpill: Sergey is providing a platform for these products but he himself has repeated dozens of times that he wants OTHERS to build things with it. The problem is the fact that there isn’t much demand for any of the services Chainlink can provide. It’s clear that the team wanted to build world changing tech and I believe they have the best intentions but at this point I think they are struggling to sell even themselves on their use cases. Nobody is building with the bricks they are creating.

How is it? At $50, link's marketcap would be $19 billion. XRP's current marketcap is $31 billion. $50 LINK is completely reasonable.

this is a retarded plan and you shouldn't even begin to consider it. 50/30/20 rule man. You aren't a billioniare, not yet, so you can't execute on this kind of plan. Billionaires have several other forms of income and many different things to fall back on if their shit goes tits up. What is your stack?

>>24260975
I don't think this is entirely true, unless you're talking about retail adoption- which won't come for a few more years, yeah.

But people are already using oracle services by link for pricefeeds among other things- so while it is slow going, progress is being made.

It's kind of like the Iphone. The Smartphone wasn't a new concept- it had been invented a few different times by the time Apple rolled around with various forms of PDA's. It just took Apple to come up with smart branding and smart packaging, and I think that's what we're waiting on now.

I've already made it and can use this plan if I really wanted to.
This plan does not only apply to billionaires and has already been used by those who made it with BTC.
The logic behind it is quite simple.
In our current negative interest rate and money printing environment money quickly loses its value while real assets increase in relative fiat price.
The loan you take progressively becomes smaller in real cost compared to your collateral as time goes on.

I’m willing to wait until they’ve rolled out the final mainnet features before I abandon ship (tsigs, staking, etc). I think it should be clear maybe 1-2 years after they’ve added these features if the tech has a future. For now I think it’s quite overvalued and will probably struggle to keep up with the rest of the market as people roll their profits over.

Hate to say but, but I probably agree with you if I'm being realistic. But, I am convinced that once Tsigs and Staking roll out, we'll see some pretty massive adoption- and more partnerships announced that, y'know, actually matter.

I don't think it will have any problem keeping up with the market- I wouldn't be concerned about that, anyway. Link is not the kind of coin where you shoulder worry about it vs. the market like you do with something that might rugpull on you.
