I'm now employed, and most of them are not (including the ones that got STEM degrees). I attribute this to having work experience and the lower grades showing that I was really making an effort whilst also working two jobs.

I was looking into attending conferences and and seminars but the cheapest around me (NYC fag) is about 995.00 USD other than that I have no other ideas how to rub shoulders with the big players in the industry.
