That's weird. I already feel like that and I'm 25 yo 20k networth. I'd rather be rich and depressed, than poor and depressed. I'm one or two bad events away from being homeless. Not that long ago something as simple as a car problem wouldn't emptied my entire bank account. Thanks to crypto I'm at least somewhat comfy compared to my peers, but I still worry about money sometimes. The more my bank account grows the more alive I feel, so I have no idea how such a thing could rot your soul.

This is true
As someone who made it in his 20s, I suddenly became so popular in my "social circles" (weren't even my "social circles" before then) everything just became so fucked
Everyone wanted to talk to me, everyone had something to say to me and I literally had nothing to say to them
Never did, never wanted anything from them, didn't even want to see them but suddenly everyone wanted what was "best" for me
Because I was a NEET before this situation as stressful as it was wasn't as bad as what was before, but it was bad
I was working my ass off to rake in money and everyone around me was dancing and having a blast
I gave so much of it away and helped people invest and so on
Fast forward 4-5 years my soul died and I literally got burned out to the core
I stopped working
Project that was raking in money slowly died and I still remember days when I just took the car and drove 220 km/h on the freeway hoping to crash

Fast forward a year or two had psychotic episode
Permanently fucked in the head mentally
On IRC begging people for help during one of the episodes
Someone understood what I was going through completely and recommended meditation
Tried it
Broke my ego down completely
Didn't know who I was anymore or what to say to people
Still remember one time my brother was talking to me and I was like completely lost, just looking at him, unsure what to say or do
Not sure what signal that sent him but he was visibly confused, I didn't know how to respond so I just said something and it was completely empty, soulless reply to something he was passionately speaking about

At this point I was ready to become an hero
People still thought I had money at this point, they had no idea what the fuck was happening to me

Stopped meditating
Started confronting every single source of anxiety in my life
Somebody doing something I didn't like? Ask them why
Started building a new ego where I stopped taking shit from anybody
FF 2 years, made it again.
FF 5 years, happy af.
