My city (nice suburbs in the midwest) has started to accumulate homeless people. They always ask for cash - I don't give that to them.
What I have started doing is creating Ethereum wallets with $10 worth of Chainlink on them. I write down the seed phrase on pieces of paper (I have 6 total that I keep on my person at all times) with instructions on how to access the wallets, how to download MetaMask as a browser extension, etc. I move Link around daily to make sure they reflect the price of the day, should I encounter a homeless person.
This is all well and good until I started to notice after watching the homeless people - from a safe distance as their smell is off-putting - that I've given these pieces of paper to crumple up the paper that I give them without even looking at it. They stuff them into their pockets like a used tissue. They usually watch me and wait until I'm out of sight before they do this.
Why do they just throw away free money like that? I've explained to each one that the price of Chainlink will be $81,000 by the year 2026 at the latest. I tell them about the oracle problem and the blockchain and about smartcontracts and staking and LINK capturing the derivatives market and their eyes just glaze over while they watch other people walk by. All three so far just nod their head while I'm talking and don't even seem like they're paying attention.
One of the homeless gentlemen that I encountered said, "Oh, is this Bitcoin?" and when I asked if he was a retarded Bitcoin maxi I could almost the see question mark forming over his head.
Has anyone else tried to give homeless people Chainlink? Are they always this ungrateful? I'm giving them almost $81k and they don't even acknowledge it or say thank you.
