Feels good that the only way algos can beat me now is if they tank the market hard and make it crab there. Enough to reach 6 figures if projections are accurate with what I have in the market, enough cash on hand if they decide to dump it hard to buy cheapies.

Anyone else know this feel? Is this why market has been erratic, too many retail investors that any move the algos, hedgefunds, and rich make results in one section of retail investors getting rich?

Why would you sell TSM? Even if they dip, they're such a safe stock that the only logical play to make with them is to buy more when it does. I've been buying literally every TSM dip I could whenever I have cash on hand. There's no reason to sell it. Short term means nothing, it's 100% guaranteed to print money in the long term so don't even consider letting it go from your portfolio. Next time it dips (it will) just re-enter and keep this advice in mind. Remember, time in the market beats timing the market.

Ah, gotcha. Been there, done that. Just understand that TSM is not a position to lose faith in. It's one of my safest holds and a pretty large portion of my portfolio because it's stable and strong. They're literally overbooked on orders leading into next year. Also their only competitor for 5nm is Samsung, and they don't have an official roadmap to it yet last time I checked. It's possible Samsung shits the bed and TSM becomes literally the only producer of next generation chips and ultimately hold a monopoly in the semiconductor space.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/5_nm_process#:~:text=In 2020%2C Samsung and TSMC,%2C Marvell%2C Huawei and Qualcomm.

Odds are anons who bought over $170 still havent made their money back as they could risk losing it at a loss for a worthwhile premium anything less risky and the premium is pretty low to make up for losses

Im super bullish on TSM but i also sold to swing on GME for now
so far the cash being locked in GME has paid off much more than if I had kept it in TSM, but it still hurts that im never going to get back that low cost basis (for pride)

you can bet im going to fucking buy back into TSM once I trim GME on Q3 and Q4, not giving a fuck about timing either. THis shit only has two modes for the next 3 years, consolidation and crabbing upwards

The next catalysts for big spikes are
>confirmation that Intel is outsourcing to TSM

it's a stable boomer stock, it's just going to consolidate back in the $95 range worst case scenario for another 3 months
obviously don't buy LEAPs on the day it went up +10%

the fact is that TSM is not priced like it's a monopoly yet because of China-Taiwan FUD, that's the only thing you have to watch out for because fundamentally TSM is so solid and the only thing holding them back is that they can't build foundries fast enough (also ASML can't build EUVL equipment fast enough)

TSM would be valued more like ASML's valuation if China wasn't so scary on Taiwan

How is it that this is /smg/ and we all see the trade off to chinese stocks after the biden win and nobody seems to grasp this is all a cash grab by overselling medical supplies to prop up a medical industiral complex that was going to die when obamacare got nixed. It's probably the biggest extortion scheme in the history of the world and nobody sees it, you wear a piece of cloth on your face, you pay for that piec of cloth, that cloth was produced at the chinese taxpayers expense and bought at the american tax payers expense. All the American green stocks are dying and the Chinese green stocks are soaring. Just look at RUN, and nobody here is tracking this shit.

I see it as more of the fact that people are investing in chinese shit the same reason china has historically invested in american shit. I agree, but I don't think Chinese stock will ever be reliable. American stock is just becoming unreliable too because it's increasingly leaning on the Chinese market or Chinese trade deals which are just all over the place. I'm actually leaning towards European stocks now bc of their good financials. There are some sleeper Euro stocks out there that will probably boost once the US and China finish fucking each other up so bad. These Chinese stocks will dip after the Chinese zillionaires get their cut, I happen to know some people that are close to them and that's how they do business.

I think of it as a ratio, not just a binary one is more reliable than the other. When the ratio shifts the money should move too.
