What's the deal with the gas fees right now? I staked 700k yesterday but it still shows in my metamask wallet and I don't show any ongoing stakes on the axion website. Now I apparently have to either re-stake that amount or stake 1 AXN to actually have my first one approved? What's the deal with that? I am not paying $120 in gas fees to stake 1 AXN just to get my first stake approved.

Maybe it's because I didn't have the gas fees in my metamask wallet. What's odd is a dev said that my transaction showed up as successful on etherscan but they said I have to approve it somehow which involves ANOTHER stake (and thus more gas fees). I am so confused.

The high gas fee glitch can be fixed by setting a gas limit inside metamask. You should not pay for that amount of gas as long as you are not a whale staking billions.
