>throat starts to feel weird after about 30 seconds of speaking
>pause and clear my throat a few times but when I start speaking again my voice quivers and my throat seizes up
>pauses get longer and longer as I try to collect myself
>eventually just the thought of speaking makes my throat freeze up like I inhaled water

>manage to croak out that I'm not feeling well and hang up the call
God I hate wagecucking so much. I just want to make it already so I can seal myself in a condo tomb for the rest of my life.

Did you give the speech a run through beforehand? I trip up sometimes, so running it through in my head before I go one helps.

If not, think back to what you can improve on next time. Public speaking is a skill in itself. Much easier than programming, desu. I still struggle with problem solving sometimes, but I try to look for ways to improve it.

Don't think these kinds of thoughts, positivity helps.
