Is there even any way for btc to survive when eth implements EIP1559 this spring? It will be aggressively deflationary, and 10x more convenient even on eth 1.0 chain.

Just sent tx on eth - paid 20 cents, confirmed in 30 seconds.
Sent tx on btc, paid 5 dollars and had to fucking wait 2 hours (1 hour in mempool and 1 hour until 6 confirmations).
At this point I wouldn’t use anything but eth for day to day transactions desu.

why would you use anything other than visa/mastercard or cash for day to day transactions?

Because with ETH you can be your own bank. No need to trust lying scumbags with your worthless papermoney.

BTC will be huge as the institutional/national hedge. ETH will be huge as the global computer.
They will both be massive.

It’s unironically less convenient. I have to verify with sms, there is all this kyc shit and I can’t easily p2p send money to a person (in another country or another bank). With eth I just open metamask, type in addy and it’s there in under 1 minute. Simple as.

Yeah the only benefit I see is BTC massive hash power, which makes it very secure like gold. It’s too clumsy though compared to eth at this point, I always get annoyed when I am forced to pay with btc instead of eth.

It did flip btc by market cap metric, add all the shitcoins running on eth

Hashpower, FMA and the power of the name. I'm more certain than ever that BTC is here to stay and going well past $100k, and I don't ever plan to own any.

The new money that will come into crypto now won’t give a shit about transactional power. It’s just boomer corporations that are viewing it as an investment asset

Use nano, pay nothing. Doesnt matter though, btc is king

btc has 60%+ dominance, and shitcoins prices moves according to satoshi value, following BTC, because they have no actual money to backup their price, wtf are you talking about?

everyone with three digit iq knows eth is going to flip btc. It's all a game to dump btc bags on dumb uninformed money before that happens. Western governments have protected people from ponzi schemes for decades, leading to enormous capital dislocation - too many stupid people have money they would otherwise lose a long time ago.

Not sure about your timeline, but definitely after full proof of stake.
