I doubt it for the usa i'ts a hard position atm , the usa needs inflation to return due to deflationary pressures but at the same time they don't want the chinese pushing their cbdc as a reserve currency.

Bitcoin thriving may damage swift sanction capability but it also prevents china from pushing a cbdc reserve currency due to capital flight risk and also reduces some of the deflationary pressures on the usd.

The usa is more independent than most people believe , it's literally the country less dependent on international trade.

sanctions are fucking them incredibly hard, their currency is in absolute shambles and people are relying on their internal stock market to preserve wealth. Their stock exchange is incredibly volatile though, but even so it's better than their currency.
It makes sense for them to use a currency that they can circumnavigate sanctions with, and is in some way connected to the finances of the outside world (since they are so economically isolated).

i can see them banning it on its network/power inefficiency alone, although they wouldn't really have to ban it, since transactions will become prohibitively expensive at some point. for bitcoin to really be secure, hashpower would have to be distributed much more widely and not just in china, and a "hashrate war" would be brutally expensive in terms of electricity and network congestion. either you submit to china and pay tribute whenever you transact and put up with slow transactions or you drop bitcoin.

i don't think the US is the only nation that will opt for the latter.

Sorry, I mean I need a source that explicitly states your argument. This is just tangential to the discussion.

No, you can't make inferences and observations from the sources you've gathered. Any additional comments from you MUST be a subset of the information from the sources you've gathered.

You can't make normative statements from empirical evidence.

Do you have a degree in that field?

A college degree? In that field?

Then your arguments are invalid.

No, it doesn't matter how close those data points are correlated. Correlation does not equal causation.

How exactly?
They can ban on/off ramps in the us, but there's too much usd internationally and ways around that to full prevent direct exchange.
BTC and other cryptos worth their salt were built to be censorship resistant from the ground up.
Additionally, it's too engrained and too many powerful Americans have interest in it to allow for outright ban.

That's a good way to give state actors like iran a chance to create a gold backed stablecoin so they can hold between international trade.
Tough again i don't think they are smart enough for this but i would also have not expected them to use btc in any way , like memezuelan retards only using their pro crypto stance to capture miners and steal their asics.

This. Unlike the Saudis who pay Americans to fly their American made-made fighter jets that they paid for by selling oil to Americans pumped at American made and staffed oil refineries.
The Iranians actually have their own aerospace industry, arms industry, auto industry etc.

At this point it’s GOING to start some kind of global conflict. It’s probably going to cause a crypto arms race similar to a nuclear arms race. Who ever lags behind will be at a severe disadvantage.
